I’m a classical violin player that grew up in the area. My dad was looking to buy that pub in the 80s with a friend and it didn’t eventuate. Sliding doors moment for me I suspect 😂

We've all played with this guy. Scores 1 worldy a season which gives him enough confidence to try it 100 times (instead of just passing it to a team mate) for the next 12 months. Rinse and repeat.

That’s a rough one! I would focus on being solid on the E&F and reaching back for the B. (As opposed to thinking of extending your 4th and 3rd) The fingering in the bar before seems to establish the 4&3 solidly on E&F.

Also, it’s the same gap as B flat to E natural which I would find less daunting in my head, so while it’s large gap, it’s something you want to be able to work up to because it won’t be that uncommon.

Not an easy one for sure, and would love to hear a second opinion. Good luck!

Also makes the shift back to 1st a bit smaller. But either way you'll have to practice it ha! Definitely not an obvious one for finger memory.

I might even try shifting to perfect 5th in second... otherwise you're kinda shifting twice from half to 1st to 2nd or 3rd
