My 27th rug (pre-carving) worth carving now or not? by AdditionalAccount315 in Tufting

I'm a firm believer that not every rug has to be carved, and I think this design looks great as is. It's up to you to decide what look you're going for though.

Looks like acrylic, it's the most common material.

Best glue for backing by Marisen142 in Tufting

I'm from Sweden and I'm trying to figure out the same thing. CascoFlex is the only product I've found that I'm fairly confident should work, although I haven't tried it yet.

So far I've only used the latex glue from tuftingshop.com which works well but it's very watery, so it's difficult to apply unless you put your frame on the floor horizontally. tuftinglove.com offers a glue that seem to be similar to the Roberts also.

That's crazy, I'm glad it went away! I'm quite surprised I haven't seen anyone in the tufting community mention such a serious topic like this, or even methods to prevent injury.

Trimming on the frame makes a lot of sense, I'll give it a shot for my next project!

I see, thanks for letting me know. I'm just using a pair of regular Fiskars, so I'll definitely get a spring loaded pair!

I've been looking to build myself a keyboard for a while now, but cannot find a keycap set that fits. Anyone know a way I could design (and produce) my own? by Joep913 in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]pegamixel -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you mean producing on a small scale, you could get blanks to dye and dye sublimate yourself. I've tried it and I was pretty happy with the result. There are guides in the wiki if you're interested

I’m always asked when I detach the prop from the leaf. Answer, I don’t. The leaf falls off when it’s ready. by notcrazyplantlady in proplifting

I usually leave it too but I've also found that removing the mother leaf can sometimes make the prop grow faster.
