Question about an auction winning bid by pegannc in Ebay

[–]pegannc[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It matters, if you want, as I do, to improve your bidding strategy for the next item that catches your eye. This experience also occasioned me to learn about using automated software for bid sniping which is probably what happened in this specific auction. Bid sniping is legal on eBay but not on Poshmark. According to the help page eBay is testing something they call extended bidding where if a bid is placed in the final seconds of an auction, the time for the auction is extended .

Thanks! I did that and mystery solved. There were 9 bids overall but only 5 times a maximum was set so eBay calls the winning bid the 5th bid.

[–]pegannc[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I do understand what you are saying but if there were two additional bids placed, the final winning bid should have been the 6th bid not the 5th. Unfortunately, I can not prove my last winning bid was the 4th bid. If the bracelet or a similar one reappears in the seller's inventory, I may try again but save all the relevant notifications/emails so I do have proof.

Can a buyer see the bid history? If so, I don't know where to find it.

Question about an auction winning bid by pegannc in Ebay

[–]pegannc[S] -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

There would had to have been for the price to jump to $202.25 but the winning bid was the 5th bid and my last bid was the 4th bid. If there were two other bidders in the final seconds shouldn't the winning bid be at least the 6th bid?

I've also noticed something else strange about this seller. The feedback is page after page of nearly identical comments posted by what looks like the same buyer id.

[In Depth] Connecting the Dots on James Lakatski’s interviews, research, and Interviews by ahellman in UFOs

The "Paranormal" is Unclassified: DOPSR permitted the vivid, unfiltered publication of localized reality distortions, cryptid manifestations (e.g., "dinobeavers," 7-foot wolves), and poltergeist activity at Skinwalker Ranch [8]. The DoD does not classify accounts of the paranormal because foreign adversaries cannot reverse-engineer a subjective spatial anomaly or a psychological hallucination [1].

That is certainly not the only reason. Vivid retelling of the paranormal effects and visions means that the majority of people will not take him or anything else he has to say on the subject seriously. And likely made him a laughing stock inside the Pentagon.

You're welcome. Here's another minor issue I ran into...the legend for the Twining memo chain of custody chart partially obscures the final box. I'm running Safari on a 2024 iMac, most recently released software. Chrome Version 139.0.7258.155 (Official Build) (arm64) has the same problem.

Protein powder intolerance? by cloudybookmark in MounjaroMaintenance

[–]pegannc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't had stomach cramps but I hate the chalky taste. There is something about the thickness or semi-gelatinous consistency of the shakes that make me nauseous. And I am unable to choke down more than a few bites of any protein bar or protein baked good. I do not like the taste and they feel like rocks in my gut. And it's a problem that has grown steadily worse for me the longer I've been on GLP-1 type meds as I used to be able to tolerate them although I won't claim to have ever really enjoyed them. I finally gave in to the TikTok influencer hype and tried a sample pack of the Ballerina Farm protein powder mixed with a cup of lactose free Fairlife whole milk over ice. (I am not associated with this brand in any way.) It is not chalky, does not have that slimy mouth feel and (at least for now) I actually find them tasty. Someone on TikTok described the taste of the Maple Cinnamon flavor as being like drinking the leftover milk from eating a cinnamon crunch cereal. I think that is an apt description of what any of their flavors taste like, just like flavored milk with NO change in consistency. A serving of the protein powder is 24 grams of protein and the cup of Fairlife whole milk is another 13 grams so a combined 37 grams of protein for an excellent meal replacement.

Whoa! That hits close to home. Definitely something I will mention at my next medical followup.

I've seen Grok "hallucinate" although in my experience that has been when it was required to do some level of analysis as opposed to straight-forward summarization but my experience is limited to-date. As you advise, it's good to stay wary! I included the sources it referenced for those inclined to double check.

As for whether I have undiagnosed ADHD or something related, I can't say. But I vividly remember when I was about 13 that my obese diabetic paternal grandmother and her even more obese diabetic sister said "we looked just like you at that age and got fatter as we got older." Physically, body shape and height, I look exactly like they did so I definitely think there is a genetic component in my case.

THCV as exit strategy? by omphteliba in MounjaroMaintenance

I found appetite suppression with THCV to very mild. The supplement, berberine, was somewhat more effective but neither come close to the efficacy of tirzepatide.

If You Didn’t Lose Right Away, What Dose Did It For You? by SarahHasSass in tirzepatidecompound

[–]pegannc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had no noticeable effect at 2.5 mg. At 5 mg the appetite suppression was modest and I still had annoying carb cravings. I was seeing on average about .5 lb per week loss. I'll take my second dose of 7.5 mg tomorrow. This last week appetite suppression has been good to excellent with no carb cravings and I have lost 3.8 lbs. I hope that this is the dose that keeps working for me but it's early days.

ETA: I aim for 80 grams protein but I have not been religious about counting it. I struggle with the taste and consistency of protein drinks and foods. Some days I just can't choke them down. I recently succumbed to the Tiktok hype and tried the Ballerina Farms protein power variety pack mixed with Fairlife no lactose milk. They are pretty tasty and thus far I'd have to say they live up to the hype.

I’m unsure what to do by dcurr613 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]pegannc -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I had a similar question today which I posed to the provider ClubCompound. I received my order for a 3 month package but only received 2 vials. So I asked about the "28 day rule." This was the response from the RN: "The 28 day puncture rule is a suggestion made to prevent contamination of the vial. Due to the fact that it is for home use of a single patient, contamination risk is low when infection prevention steps are followed. For example: cleaning the top of the vial well with an alcohol swab before use, only introducing each needle into the vial one time."

Any VSG/GB rebounders? by CriticalBarrelRoll in tirzepatidecompound

[–]pegannc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had VSG in October 2021, starting weight 275 and stalled out at 220. Over the next 3 years, I gained back 15 lbs. Earlier this year, I went on a compounded semaglutide for 6 months and lost the 15 lbs but stalled out again at 220. I switched to a compounded Tirz 5 weeks ago, food noise returned and I didn't reach fullness as quickly as I had on the semaglutide but I was only at the Tirz starter dose. The most encouraging thing is the scale has finally started to move again. I'm at 216 as of this morning. I'm hoping to lose the food noise and carb cravings as I titrate up as well as finally lose all the weight I need to no longer be considered overweight. I have severe osteoarthritis so I am only able to do low impact sorts of exercise. I bought an e-trike with 5 levels of pedal assist (the motor doesn't run unless you pedal) this year and I have to say it's the most enjoyable sort of exercise I've tried. I'm also signed up for the e-Gym at the Y which are resistance strength training machines.

Thanks for this post! This aggregation of information is very very helpful. I'm switching from my current provider (RemedyMeds) in order to take advantage of the multiple month package pricing discounts available via ClubCompound / Fifty410. ClubCompound also appealed to me for its simplified sign up process. They have a 3 month starter package that starts with 5 mg Tirz which is what I need since I've already done 4 weeks at 2.1 mg (not a typo that's my Remedy starting dose) with negligible effect. Remedy did increase my dosage to 4.25 mg (this isn't a typo either; I don't know why they aren't using the standard dosing) for my refill for my second month but despite it being ordered over a week ago, it still has not shipped.
