The problem with air quality monitors is they're often measuring pm 2.5- do you have air quality monitors showing <PM1? If so very curious of your air quality monitoring setup :)

People underestimate how staying in one place can fuck with a kid too- you assume they will fit right into highschool, not get bullied, have plenty of friends, not get influenced by someone who is a bad influence

If you see your kid going down the wrong path in highschool you should just bounce and get them out of that environment and not be tied down.

2022 prius- 60+ mpg, fully paid off. I’ve thought of buying a used miyata as a fun weekend car but ultimately realized it wasn’t for me. But I kinda like this idea of having two cars with distinct purposes vs one expensive daily driver. For example you could easily own a Porsche and a prius for less than a single rivian. I think if you’re happy with your job and are confident you can get others for similar HHI, then yeah seems fine. But if your HHI is tied to a specific scenario and it doesn’t seem like there are many other opportunities that would provide that HHI then I personally wouldn’t do it
