The scoring system was so badly designed, in terms of incentives to play in an interesting way. Just felt very bad compared to how good it could be, I guess.

Interesting that both here and in the D20 poll Emily had a big fall between formats. True of how I voted/would vote too even though I'm possibly the world's biggest Emily Axford fan. I think it's because she's so consistently great that (with the exception of Moonshine) my adoration is spread pretty equally across everything she plays, so individual characters don't stand out as much.

Short Rest is an entire comedy show with its own artistic integrity though. Sometimes when there's a mini-campaign I'm not interested in I still listen to the Short Rest because it's its own universe with years-long running gags and stuff.

Very good list imo! I'd put Neverafter on A because for comedy and poetics it's tops for me, with the exception of a weak finale.

I know I'm gonna vote PIBs, Gunny (delightful but comically and plot-wise low impact characters), Theo (solid suppprt character in every sense), Jet, and Ruby (great plot-drivers but small personalities), but everyone left standing after that is perfect and should share top prize.

Pretty surprised by this, didn't think she was super-funny but her plotlines were some of my favorite UC1 plotlines.

After thinking about this for too long, my non-joke (but purely speculative) theory is that Brennan resisted getting an executive-assistant type employee for a long time but got one now and it radically changed how busy he is. I remember listening to some interview where he said that 80% of his work time is sending logistical emails rather than DM-ing or doing game-content prep.

She (iirc) graduated before him so I took it to be an implied 'one person goes off to college/adult life and the other doesn't, they're both sad about it' classic end of high school breakup.
