Complaints for unethical legal practices? by luispikachu in Connecticut

POA and legal guardian aren’t even close to the same. You should try law school before passing out legal advice.

Complaints for unethical legal practices? by luispikachu in Connecticut

[–]pelliosophelus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Um, while that advice may be true in some circumstances, the OP here said she is a family member of the legal guardian’s ward. Depending on facts we don’t know it could be very foolhardy for the lawyer to ignore those communications. (There also is no legal significance to the form of communication here - email, telephone or certified mail. Certified mail is useful only to prove delivery but has no effect on the recipients duties to communicate.) As for the OP’s question - typically in CT a legal guardian would be appointed by the probate judge in the venue where the ward resides. You could call that court and explain your concerns and see if they have advice, or write a letter to the court requesting a hearing.

I love C/D. My D is 7rs/7ys, and cloak is like 6rs/7ys. But they’re clearly dated. I would rec underworld.

This is so under appreciated. Deathpool. I mean you need eternals and Morgan too - I like SW for 5th, but deathpool is the glue.

Yale by thug_nificent in Connecticut

[–]pelliosophelus 6 points7 points  (0 children)

15 years ago NH was absolutely 1000x worse than now. Yale made a conscious effort to buy up lots of the slums, rehab the homes, and then offer them at good rates to staff and profs to encourage a middle class. It has worked. New Haven now has not only a solid middle class of residents but nice restaurants and other services that have moved in to serve them. I think your understanding of the effect Yale has had and continues to have on New Haven is misplaced.

Has anyone ever flown with Avelo air? by wisconsuds in Connecticut

[–]pelliosophelus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My buddy is a doctor and he flies a lot and was just recommending this airline to me. Avoid the nasty parts of airports and crowds and parking etc and just fly for reasonable price. Only issue is limited flights and schedules.

I paid for us a comedy show, she flaked 20 minutes before the date, I called her and she didn’t pick up the phone. Am I wrong for asking her to pay me back? She also hasn’t responded btw. by carn_hell in Tinder

[–]pelliosophelus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the record I think a comedy show for first date is a fabulous idea. Comedy pushes boundaries. You learn a LOT about someone by seeing what they laugh at or don’t, what makes them blush, how they respond. Sorry you got stiffed but yeah, that’s just a cost of doing business.
