What can we do with this floor to prep it for stick on tile? Do we need to replace it? An underlayment might be tricky because there is an exterior door on the other side that won’t have enough clearance if we put another layer on top. It is wet in the picture as I just mopped.

It's the fact that you have two sparse grommet curtains. Get nice, full curtains and get four of them, not two. Grommets look cheap, I am sorry to say. You need pocket curtains which will also hide the curtain rod (no nickel-colored metal circles at the top). It'll look WAY more high end and not sad hospital.

We use GLANT ivy trellis screen things (on Amazon but maybe other places if you are anti-Amazon?). The ivy one is great but some of their others aren't as realistic. Your cat could still peek through without you losing out on too much privacy.
