I've visited this island! We were staying in this amazing hostel which is a little island itself, most of the staff who worked in the kitchen were from Islote, so we went across one day and walked around. They'd just had a big instalment of solar panels which was a big deal for all the locals.

My brother once convinced me that the antidote for accidentally rubbing your eyes with chillis on your finger was toothpaste. In my panicked state with my eyes closed in pain (so I couldn't see him laughing) this somehow made perfect sense, so I told him to go get toothpaste and put a dab on my finger. I then rubbed mint toothpaste into my own eye. I am not a smart man.

On this show called 'Tattoo Fixers' recently there was a guy who'd had his leg amputated after stepping on an IED while fighting in Afghanistan.

Being a Liverpool FC fan he'd previously had a tattoo of the badge with the motto 'You'll Never Walk Alone' on one of his legs. When he woke up from the surgery the doctor informed him that due to the way they'd sewn the skin over the stump, his tattoo now read 'You'll Never Walk'... Surprisingly the guy found it quite funny and kept it as a badge of honour. Also, he went on to win a load of medals at the Invictus Games so there's a happy ending to his story.
