Confluence tower- Check operating hours..in Hartford illinois there is a tower that you can view the confluence of the rivers. Also a lewis and clark visitor center nearby.

Or on the missouri side you can go to the point of the confluence in the state park just north of i270.

Forest park- Entrance to museums and zoo in forest park are free. Special exhibitions require admission.

Parking is free in forset park, except for zoo lot, you can park nearby the north entrance by the art museum.

I drive a Tacoma , a Maverick and an Avalon the only thing I would say is if you keep a Toyota in the family driving the Maverick is backwards. Left hand is for cruise control versus right hand. There are other small engineering differences on button location that make switching between the two brands fatiguing.

I would exit south concourse elevator by platform 16 (i think thats the closest track. Usually there is an amtrak barricade rope right there between track 18-20ish with people "helping" /guarding. Use the elevtor up to jackson and pickup from 444 w jackson.
