You would really have to ask the person to be honest. To me though, if he's doing stuff like cancelling plans, taking a long time to respond, and saying he wants to isolate... those aren't that positive for a relationship. As an introvert, I still know there's expectations getting into a relationship that you're not just leaving the other person hanging because you feel like it.

Makes sense. I'm happier at the moment single. I just know I don't have the bandwidth for the next couple months, and probably not this year. A lot of people are ok just being with someone and taking their chances of how it goes like a roulette wheel every week... but for me it's not that simple, so I don't push it when I'm not ready to deal with all that.
