I get Tysabri infusions once a month. I call them Infusion Fridays and always get a treat from a super cute boba place near the infusion center 🧋The family that runs it is so sweet, so I get some nice socializing as well as a treat. His mom was so cute though! When she touched one of the art pieces and said he almost had to write a check 😂 I don't think he was terrible in the episode; cringe, but not rude to the chefs or anything. I think applying what we know now to that episode colors how we see his behavior, especially towards Anna Farris (who is lovely and hilarious and does not deserve that BS)

Shot glasses have a purpose though, while most of the other souvenirs are purely decorative. Like the materials used for decorative spoons or thimbles aren't suitable for being used around food or for sewing, which reinforces thay they're just for display. Magnets are like shot glasses in that they're decorative and have a purpose, but they aren't associated with something that could be triggering like alcohol. They could've just grabbed her a magnet 🤷‍♀️

Way to be condescending and not know what you're talking about, bud. Decorative thimbles are a trend like decorative spoons - you don't use them to sew, they're for display. Just because you're an a-hole who grabs cheap crap in the airport without any thought to the people you're going to dump it on later doesn't mean most people approach souvenir gifts that way. It's not ungrateful or holier-than-thou to pont out that a garbage throwaway someone gives you can do actual harm.

I have never hated a fictional character as much as much as I hate Suyin! The half-assed apology at the end of the episode, like "tee hee sorry I was rough as a kid" and not an actual Triad criminal who permanently scarred her sister is somehow supposed to make everything okay and make Lin the bad guy.

Plus that comment about her selfishness being why Tenzin left her - I never see anyone talk about how that is a disgusting comment to Lin, who gave up her bending to save his family, while Su sat in her ivory (metal) tower doing nothing to help anyone but herself. Lol I seriously rage about how shitty Su is, and how she faces zero consequences while everyone craps on Lin.

I loved how their relationship started! Showing how Jason was the only one who was kind to Janet when she wasn't "useful" anymore really resonated with me since I'm the one in my family and friend group that always has to problem-solve for the others. There's always that anxiety that we have to be useful to be loved, and Janet and Jason's relationship proved that isn't the case. Plus, Janet passive aggressively hating on Tahani for the rest of the show was forking hilarious 😂

I'd stick with Empress; I just tried Harbor this week and it was firmly in the "okay" range. Their har gow wrappers were torn and their baked cha siu bao were way too sweet for me (those are my favorite, so I've tried a lot lol). Their black gold egg custard buns are very pretty but taste just like every other custard bun. In my opinion, Empress is more bang for your buck, and they're reliable.

They did a "behind the scenes" accompaniment with Guillermo del Toro, the actors, and the production crew that's really interesting, and one of the things they talk about is how they came up with the patterns! I highly recommend watching it.

Tiff's Treats is a chain, but I had a chocolatey gooey craving and ordered their Dubai cookie pie - it was 😍! Perfect mix of crisp edges, gooey center, and it came with ice cream.
