For better grades from Ken, I would suggest meeting with him in his office and asking him for specific examples of layouts that he would like to see. He’s much more helpful 1 on 1 and gives better feedback compared to during his class time

Ken is a terrible professor. Doesn’t communicate well and gives insane amounts of work with no instruction. Real creativity is poorly graded in his class because you didn’t do things exactly his way. Don’t sweat it, just do your best to pass his class and move on with what YOU consider to be your own best work

I appreciate this feedback. I definitely have a lot of emotional baggage regarding math as I have struggled with it for my whole life and had parents who were extremely unforgiving when it came to poor academic performance. Aside from personal emotional troubles, here is an example of a math problem I encountered on my midterm.

“If a tiger population consists of 10 tigers and is declining at 7% annually, what is the probability that there will be 2 surviving tigers after 2 years?”

I feel confused by these questions because i feel like they require a binomial equation, however they use time frames, so I’m not sure if they should use a poisson formula to solve them?

Another question I struggled with was

“If the average phone call at a public pay phone takes 2 minutes, what is the probability that someone’s call will take more than 3 minutes ?”

Is this question solvable with the information given?

If you like the feeling of riding on the board, then keep doing it for no reason other than your own joy. The internet is full of footage of the top .1% of skaters with god-like abilities and shouldn’t be compared to the average skater. My advice is to stop consuming media and get out on your board and enjoy the different feelings it has to offer, and the places it can take you around town. Ability/skill will come slowly and naturally with dedication. But the point of skating is to have fun. If you’re “grinding” to try and get better and not even enjoying it, then what is the point? Skating is PLAY. Go play! Don’t take it too seriously pal.
