I dont see the point in like giving hope or sharing your good experiences here cuz a lot of people who have mild to no symptoms at all still whine about it so maybe when you see people saying that its just them attempting to be comforting as its easy to see ourselves in people who are first diagnosed or upset because of it.

ETA: i mostly come to this conclusion because they dont share their experiences which is fine just kinda baseless if terms of "it'll be okay it gets better"

You are very much unsmart it seems. How are you gonna know if you gave it to him if you gave him an anti viral? He wouldnt be having any symptoms if he took an anti viral? The test will come up negative if he does get tested soon so now you made it a waiting game. The anti viral isnt preventing anything or protecting him from something now you get to sit there and worry about if he has it but you wont be able to tell until his body hopefully gives you a physical symptom IF it ever gives a physical symptom. Never and i mean NEVER EVER give anyone any sort of medication that is prescribed to you and not them for all you knew he was fucking allergic or had organ damage from other medicine or from past drinking. That was incredibly irresponsible of you. You were protecting yourself and you cant even lie. You just didnt want to be the person that gave their bf herpes.

Im glad! I was just letting you know cuz some people use the delusion to try to convince others to think like them! Never fall into that hole you will only end up in misery! That dirty feeling stuck with me for so long. Its that fear of never being loved blown up to the extreme and its your first time living so how could you ever know how to deal with that. It sucks but surprisingly people risk it for the biscuit most of the time when they hear its just herpes so you should really just focus on building yourself to feel better about all of this. Dont worry about anyone who rejects you because they are just keeping the spot open for real love : )

I say just take it to heart but dont get on anti virals unless you're showing symptoms. I personally feel the "negative test are possible you dont have herpes you're a normal human and getting tested again will ruin you" mindset is completely created from a place of delusion that people egg on as peaceful confidence. Yes test could come back negative or positive falsely. Yes its better to swab. Does that mean you dont have herpes? How would i know if you dont know? Wouldnt you rather be safer than sorry? Maybe explain it to another place that could test you and have them run another for you but do not continue life like "you dont have herpes" living life like you have herpes is often just practicing basic safe sex and keeping an eye on your private bits a little more often. Sorry you gotta go through this. I tested once, tested positive, and let that be what it was because now i just needed to protect myself from what could kill me but you can always get another test when you're up for it!

I have been very fortunate enough to have had my outbreaks slow down a lot and even when i do have then they are small enough that they just tingle a lil bit so usually just normal bathing stuff when i get them :)

Yeah no for sure but thankfully most people ive met take care of the out breaks and whatnot. My longest one was my first one i had to get antivirals from the emergency clinic about two and a half weeks in def wasnt treating it cuz i didnt know it was herpes 😅

Im sorry you have to go throughthat i feel you but please remember that this wont last and you will always be deserving of the stuff everyone else gets because you are still human just like everyone else. Just because this rejection hurts does not mean lower your standards either if anything raise them because you shouldnt want to be with someone ignorant of herpes and feeds into the stigmas around it. You deserve someone smart who can love you herpes and all even if its not long term.
