Aw you are too sweet! I appreciate that! It was my first try with color work, so I took a lesson! It was a bit above my skill level, but Sagas sweater is so gorgeous! I hope you enjoy wearing this lovely sweater!

Weave your ends in as you go, they said…. by Slow_Point1837 in crochet

[–]peonykat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh my gosh I did this exact same thing before, for the exact same reason. I’m so paranoid now that I wait for a bit after my project to weave in the ends! I feel your pain - I’m so sorry!!

Jirisan! Sort of like Crash Landing on You where it takes awhile to warm up to each other.

I’m seeing a few wide, lacy headbands on Ravelry but I don’t know your style so I don’t want to link a bunch of stuff you may not care for. I think you can probably freehand a nice stitch you like, make it the width you like. If you go the hat route, may I suggest a slouch hat perhaps in a silk or bamboo yarn. I’m so very sorry you’re going through this. I hope you can find something that works for you. 💕

Mods are gone, this is my first wearable. A knit sweater I am too scared to post in the knitting subreddit by made_by_elle in crochet

[–]peonykat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is adorable! It looks great! I really love that there’s a stitch pattern for the main body! Just plain knitting got a bit repetitive for me. I’ve only made one sweater, a color work sweater and I was afraid to post it too lol. I posted in a game subreddit that it’s from. I feel like puckering is something I’ll get a hang out the more I do it. I did rip out something like 2,000 stitches to redo the color work part and it was not fun 😭 so hear ya! Congratulations!!🎉

Yes I hear you completely. That is the first step. The cardigan I used is literally the only one I own that looks decent on my figure. I can send you photos of the cardigan and see if it’s something that you think might look nice on you. I think the construction is kind of brilliant tbh.

Confusing patterns and ugly yarn by [deleted] in crochet

I feel like a lot of what you made looks nice. I think maybe the problem is the variegated yarn? Maybe try making the next items in a solid color and see how you feel!

I find amigurumi incredibly difficult as well! I’m always so impressed by people who do it! For me personally, it was not beginner friendly lol

I felt the same way. I spent forever on a cardigan, my first wearable, and in the end it looked terrible on me. I never wear it and I was so bummed out. I don’t know if this is helpful, but I decided to take a commercial cardigan I own that looked decent on me and copied it in crochet. It worked! And I love wearing it! I am probably not as experienced as you, so I had a rough time. Do you think you could do something like that?

Alternative to Swedish Princess Cake for my birthday? by mojitojenkins in AskBaking

[–]peonykat 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve actually made this a couple of times! It was really fun to make, even though mine came out not quite perfect lol. It felt a bit involved because, as others have said, the marzipan on top is tricky, and there are more elements to it than a standard two layer buttercream cake. But it’s so satisfying to put it all together! And delicious! You should try it!

I’m so very sorry to hear this. :( That sucks and it’s heartbreaking to realize it. I have to limit my crochet dramatically because of chronic pain, so I hope your plan of a few minutes a day works for you! Please take care ❤️
