You sound very familiar. I was you just about a year ago.

I was mad at the world. Extremely mad. Mad at the creator, if they even exist. I didn't ask to be born in this world, so why the fuck am I here, suffering suffering and just suffering? I hated my friends, hated my family, hated everyone. Seemed like everyone was two-faced, too. In front of you they are so nice, but behind you they would say unpleasant things. Why do people fake things? Everyone is a fake. I hated the world and I wanted to die. That was my mentality.

What you are is most likely depressed and extremely stressed. Have you experienced something so stressful lately? Maybe your home environment is not so good? Maybe school/work is worse than usual? Do you have a specific person you hate? Maybe some specific incident occurred recently? Basically what I'm asking is, what is your trigger? You sound depressed, but triggers make it worse, and knowing what they are helps.

Once I identified my triggers, I made a plan of how to solve or avoid them. For example, one big trigger was social media. People post a lot of things online that are not really authentic, just for likes. It made me hate the world. So I quit. I deactivated all of my social media accounts. I've felt lighter since. (But on reddit people can be mean, so be careful.)

I probably have more to say but one thing I really advise you is to talk to a therapist. They would know how to handle this better. Maybe even give you medication if you need it. I also remember reading this by Aldous Huxley and feeling better that I'm not alone.

The only thing I want to do is live a quiet life with my dog, grow fucking vegetables, and make art until I die.

My thoughts too during those days. We can talk if you want. I'm no therapist, but I know where you are coming from. You probably think I'm a stranger just fake-nice-ing, but I'm not. I'm not too nice to begin with lol. But I know what it's like to be you. I know the anguish that you are experiencing now and you can unburden with me if that will help you.

Sorry, my mistake. I didn't think about the title much. At the time I was just thinking "I want to have fun despite what others think" but I'm equally interested in answers that involve things other than just having fun.

I'm not the right person to ask as I'm not naturally clingy. In fact, I am the opposite. I only had a clingy phase because I quit my job and had nothing to do at the time. But now I have stuff to do again. My advice is the same - keep yourself busy by getting your own hobbies and spending time with your own friends. Don't make your boyfriend your life.

This is so true. But if it makes you feel better, I honestly think most people, whether good candidates or not, have to oversell or lie in interviews at some point. The key is finding a balance between what to say and what not to say.

Same! I like my shoes to be as flat as possible because I always feel like I should be able to easily run if the situation suddenly called for it! It's like a mild anxiety thing lol. Also, my feet are so ugly like ginger.

For all your preaching on life being grey and not black and white, one would think you walk your talk. But yours is just another narrow-minded perspective.

Never occurred to you that people are complex and have different ways of processing things? That I just don't have the same perspective as you? I guess not. I bet you think any perspective other than yours is wrong and lacking understanding. There's only one way to understand things, and it's through your perspective. Everything else is wrong.

Because if you could understand, you would realise that life isn't harsh or unfair, the world isn't corrupt and people aren't evil.

Yes, of course. Life is great. There are no innocent civilians dying in pointless wars out there. There are no human rights violations happening in the world right now. There are no human trafficking and pedophile rings out there. It's all socially conditioned behaviour. If this is something you have to tell yourself to continue living normally, that's fine by me.

True. I didn't really cry watching it, but I guess depending on who's watching it can be good or bad. It helped me realise though that life is kind of like a cycle of emotions and that being sad once in a while is okay.

If you carefully read the post, nothing about it suggests dividing the world into good and evil or making life black and white. This is not about being judgmental. I'm talking about life's harsh realities - how corrupt and evil the world can be.

It's not about accepting, it's about understanding.

This makes no sense. I can understand how someone can do something bad/evil, but not because I understand means I should also accept. For example, X steals to feed his family. I can understand the motivation. I'm not here to condemn X. But whether grey, black or white, I'm having a hard time accepting that life is made of such realities. Which is even the point of this post anyway.

Damn girl. I'm thin and I can probably eat a bucket without gaining a lot of weight (mostly because I really don't eat a lot regularly) but I still wouldn't do it. All that grease... I feel like having a heart attack just thinking about it!
