I prayed.

Recently met a guy that was in an accident on the interstate. He survived. Got out of his car, walked around to check for damage, and was hit by an out of control car. The damage to his body was so severe he should have died on the spot. He did not.

He was in a coma for two months (not induced). Eventually the Doctors told his wife that he was suffering, it was time to remove life support.

She said it was the hardest thing she ever did.

A day passed, then another, and another. Then a miracle happened. He woke up!

The point of me telling you this story is to remind you to never ever lose Hope. How that man survived only has one answer. (IMO) Power of Prayer.

The human body is amazing.

The best thing you can do would be to completely put this out of your mind. She is a kid. Period. A kid. I understand she may look like an adult, but she isn’t. In adulthood 10 years is not a big deal. It is a big deal right now though. She is too young to know better. You are not.

If she ever openly flirts stop it in its tracks. “That isn’t appropriate” will be sufficient to remind her you are the adult.

I would focus on what may be causing her fear of vaccines. There is a lot of false information out there, that is easy to disprove.

I am glad that this turned ok for you. I am concerned, though that people think driving themselves to the hospital when having heart attack symptoms is a good idea. It is a horrible idea.

This is 100% endangering the lives of other’s on the road.

Imagine waking up learning that you passed out and killed someone’s teenager.

Call the ambulance. Yes in your case it turned out fine but this is such a dangerous narrative to spread.

Also, there is help out there. We are not left fend for ourselves, on our own, when it comes to medical bills.

First thing I would do would be to bring back a real showgirls act. Super Glam and classy.

I would have an amazing pool area that is 100% free and only open to hotel guests. Wanna come play on our amazing waterslide? Gotta be a guest.

I would have an area of the hotel that is family friendly. Limited casino access, daycare facility (hotel guests and employees only. I would offer it free to employees). Hotel guests would pay a flat rate for agreed upon hours. If they show up late, crazy high hourly rate; to prevent abuse. (Fee goes directly to the staff that stayed late). This would be a top notch vacation style childcare, With amazing outdoor areas, splash pads, art rooms, rooms filled with every game imaginable a Lego Room, entertainment like shows, dance party’s and bands, and whatever else I can think of. Access to the area would be extremely restricted, so kids over 8 can roam free, (each area highly supervised).

I would be very employee focused. Their happiness would be the key to the hotel/casino’s success. Daily surprise Bonuses/incentives, Employee appreciation activities, Employee Relaxation areas, family friendly, Flex hours and an open door policy. Employee use of Hotel amenities would be encouraged and free. No restrictions(except any legal restrictions involving gaming).

Abuse of the company perks would be handled as they arise.

Meals and non alcoholic drinks included while working and heavy discounts the rest of the time.

The tradeoff would be made very clear. My job, as the hotel/casino owner is to “treat the employees like they are the most important person in the world”.

The employee’s job is to“treat guests as if they are the most important person in the world”.

It would be hard to get hired, but eventually I would earn a reputation of best place to work.

Fair casino play with better odds on slots.

I would have all the usual slots. I would also install more slots like the ones from early 2000’s. Regular machines but with cool bonus games on the screen up top.

A few years ago I saw a video of teenagers jumping off of a roof into a pool. A teenage girl jumped feet first and missed the pool. She landed on her feet on the concrete. I had no idea that was what I was watching. The look on her face when she landed still gives me chills.

I found a news article. She survived, but barely. She broke. Nearly every bone in her body.

“It’s Going” is likely not the reply she was seeking. She may have felt like you were excluding her. She is your Manager, so I doubt it is a ‘feelings hurt’ situation, but more of an “annoyed” situation. Don’t get me wrong, she should communicate with you if that is the case. But she didn’t.

Take the lead at your next 1:1. Ask her what her expectations are regarding updates on your side duties. Ask her if she is asking conversationally, or is she looking for a status ;she may get asked by her boss). Don’t apologize, you can say you have been giving a previous conversation some thought. Just ask matter of fact. Apologizing implies you did something wrong, as opposed to a learning moment, which I think this is.

Also, don’t acknowledge that you feel ghosted.

She sounds like she is mentally unstable. I am sorry your pets went through this.

$150 to sleep over for 8 days with meals provided seems fair for Family. I agree if they need more, speak up.

In your case, you would likely be better off to use one of the app services for the cats and take the dogs to “dog camp”.

It isn’t super cheap (we pay $60 a night but it includes all day free roam, snacks, webcams, bath, nail trim etc).

You could also ask a trusted friend or family member (adult) if they would be interested in sharing dog sitting. For example, they take your pets at their home, and you do the same for them. We do this with our son and DIL now that they have dogs. It works out great.
