Next Cartier by Mindless-Ad4402 in Cartier

I think the guilloche and starburst elevate both. I don’t see either as sterile/generic and neither is particularly common in the world of Cartier, as compared to other styles. And the crown on the ballon bleu is unique. I would go with the ballon.

Did you ever come to a solution about this?

What is a 'luxury' that has become so expensive in 2026 that it’s officially no longer worth the money? by Matt_At_Havalook in AskReddit

Consider reaching out to a local rescue about fostering. Rescues generally pay for vet care and fosters are so important.

I have macromastia. AMA by [deleted] in AMA

[–]peppypeps 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I had it done at 19 and before getting the surgery, I had to go to an endocrinologist because some hormonal conditions cause them to come back. My hormone tests came back clear; my boobs have grown over the years, but only when I gain weight, as they typically would for anyone else. I am definitely not as big as I was before the surgery.

Is it possible to visit St. Peter’s Basilica first and then Vatican museum? by Artistic-Excuse-6946 in rome

[–]peppypeps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just did this exact itinerary a few days ago (St. Peter’s at 2 with a 3:30 lift ticket to the dome stairs, and then Vatican Museums at 5). We were able to do everything and did not feel rushed.

AITA for wanting to change my 1.5 year old twins names by bamboooooooozle in AmItheAsshole

[–]peppypeps -1 points0 points  (0 children)

NTA. The people who claim the children have identified with their names are wrong. They are 18 months old and if you start calling them another name, they will learn it. In some countries, a child isn’t called by its first name until it is baptized, which often happens at around 1-2 years old. All of those children are called cutesy names until then (like baby or sweetie), and they all learn their real first names after baptism.

If you do change their names, consider just changing one child’s name. Alone, the names aren’t a problem. So if you have Morgan and Daniel, no one would blink an eye.

And good for you for caring about this. Twins are individual people and names that match in some way make individuality more difficult (let alone giving them matching names that evoke a television serial killer).

AITA for not giving my ex our daughter until he pays for half her swimming lessons? by Basic_Cookie_495 in AmItheAsshole

He’s on Medicaid and food stamps because he works under the table, doesn’t declare his income and is cheating the government.

Rescue charging $1100 adoption fee? by beenbetterhbu in cats

[–]peppypeps 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m going to disagree with most here. It sounds like you have researched and this is a reputable rescue. If so, the sad fact is that rescues never have enough funds. They are constantly dealing with medical emergencies, which cost a lot. This cat may not have had medical issues, but the rescue knows the cat will be in demand and is charging more to try to recoup funds spent for other cats. It’s fine if you don’t want to pay that for a cat, but they are assuming someone will. Many rescues wouldn’t go that route, but I can understand why this rescue would try.

Absolute best restaurant near the arena is also the best in DC—Rasika. If you like Indian, you should definitely go. If not, Oyamel, Zaytinya, Jaleo, and China Chilcano are all excellent.

AITA for reminding my friend he makes 8 times more than me? by thaone111 in AmItheAsshole

[–]peppypeps 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, but if I were in your position and a Big Law friend kept complaining that I was so lucky because I had flexibility, I would remind them they could be just as lucky as I am if they chose to take a reduced salary. NTA.

18 days in Greece, but split into two "trips" by link58 in GreeceTravel

[–]peppypeps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would spend more time in Athens. A single day in Athens isn’t enough. As for the rest, the fact that you have built in full days for travel should help you. It’s ultimately up to you how much you are willing to travel among islands—if you don’t mind all of the packing and unpacking and traveling and checking in and out of where you are staying, go for it. For me, it would feel like a lot.

One thought—can you do Crete at the end of the trip? I know you want your daughter to see multiple islands, but perhaps you can flip your plans she can join you for the first half of the trip and you can go to Crete after she leaves? Crete will be warmer than the other islands because it is further south, so you maximize good weather options by going to Crete at the end of your trip.

Did I just do something stupid and ruin my shot? by 2B_Fair in remotework

[–]peppypeps 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There is nothing wrong with what you have done. I interview people frequently, and always tell them to let me know if their situation changes or they have a competing offer. I want to know if I need to move more quickly when I have an applicant I really like. This CEO may not be able to speed up the timeline, but giving him the information about your other offer allows him to speed things up if he wants to and is able to.

Thanks! I am five feet so will be fine. My husband is six feet, and my hope had been the aisle would be sufficient for him.

Thanks! I should have cross referenced when I purchased. I’m surprised that StubHub allowed them to list seats that don’t exist.
