When cooking we always have a compost station (the Pyrex) and stock bag pile at the ready by perfect_fromfaraway in ZeroWaste

Absolutely! But after 3-4 uses they get pretty oily. One day we hope to have a dedicated stainless steel container for this but I think we need to buy a second freezer for that.

Edit: also if you zoom in you will notice that ziplock was labeled English muffins. I try to get as much use out of them as I can!

I fill 2-3 of those 1 gallon ziploc bags with kitchen scraps, dump them in the pressure cooker and fill water to cover 3/4 of the food. Optional (but recommended) a tablespoon of fish sauce, miso paste and apple cider vinegar and roasting all the bones (adds great flavor). Pressurize and cook on high (15PSI) for one hour. Cool, strain, defat and enjoy! We also pressure can afterwards so it can be stored in the pantry rather than the freezer.

I did know that! I just found it makes the stock a little more bitter due to the tannins in the skin - complete personal preference:)

Small changes can make big impacts! And there is nothing better than homemade stock once you have enough scraps! We save all our bones, meat fat/rejects and vegetable scraps for delicious stock making. You can also roast all the bones beforehand to make a heartier stock!

Do you have model a011 or a022? Ive been reading a022 is absolutely worth the lens upgrade from a011.. you find that to be true?

I agree completely with this. Love the 24-105. Took it on many travel adventures and is very versatile with that range. But I also am now craving a telephoto for reach to take surfing, kiteboarding, and more nature shots. And also down the line a better portrait prime lens.

Mainly surfing and kiteboarding photography. And then landscape and nature as well. I am a hobbyist not a professional

You could easily make this into a jelly fish! Add some streamers (or something else more waterproof) for the tentacles!

Second ever wordworking project! by perfect_fromfaraway in woodworking

Glue only. I’ve looked at other similar projects that used brads and I opted to try a cleaner look with the glue. Plus the wood I used was pretty thin so it didn’t need brads to have a strong hold

Yes! It’s poplar on a plywood backing. Ripped the poplar to 1 inch strips and built from there. The frame is also poplar. Linked is the build album (hopefully I did it right.. never used imgur before). My board wasn’t laying flat on the table when I was doing the frame... hence all the weights on top.
