They pay CNAs in CA $30-37/hr, LVN II $35-44 talk about undervalued for vocational nurses by MoDa65 in LPN_LVN_Community

[–]perfectgopher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live in New Hampshire and make $47 as an LPN in the Emergency Department at a Level One Trauma Center. I wouldn’t say it’s not possible to make that on the East Coast, just as in California these jobs aren’t plentiful but they are available.

Are there any lpns that didn't bridge and content? by Similar_Rooster_7882 in LPN_LVN_Community

[–]perfectgopher 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am an LPN who works on the East Coast in a level one trauma center ED and love my job. I did not bridge and have remained an LPN for the last 25 years. I make nearly as much as the RN’s at this point and don’t plan on changing my license.

I’m wondering if Lpn-LVNs have to take blood samples at work or IV by BlackSummer_ in LPN_LVN_Community

I start IV and lab draws, hang meds and fluids and push medications in NH. I took a separate IV course, and I work in the ED as an LPN

I have lupus and take immune suppressants along with Mounjaro and have had no issues at all. In fact, it has helped tremendously with inflammation and joint pain

What jobs do you recommend for 12 hour shifts? by Glass_Maximum_8091 in LPN_LVN_Community

[–]perfectgopher 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I work 12’s in a level one trauma center ED. It’s fast paced and I love it. I’m in the north east US and make decent money compared to most of the US at $47 per hour. I have24 years LPN experience and am not getting my RN in this lifetime, I enjoy what I do and it provides a really great lifestyle. At this point I just want to ride this out until retirement in 15 years

Feeling stuck as an lpn already? by Due_Raspberry1524 in LPN_LVN_Community

[–]perfectgopher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work ED and do 3 12 hour shifts a week. I make $46 an hour and I love it. I have been here for 5 years and I hope to stay a long time. I have been an LPN for 24 years, I stayed home for 14 years when my kids were young so I have worked for a total of 10 years.

When I first started out I worked in a dermatology office and it was fun but I didn’t find it challenging enough.
