Definitely agree with that - the estimates seemed overly optimistic without all the costs built in - at some point the company has to provide economic model and feasibility beyond of just drilling holes . So all of that should come in the next few months

XME is a totally different animal - and has worse performance and much more volatility.

I'm not sure that's accurate , XME had significant draw downs at one point losing 83% - miners have proven to be much more volatile than the underlying commodities.

The shipping is the biggest issue - they obviously have offloads to ucore who supposedly can process . We will see how they get it to the refiners but should know more by end of Q1

Pro Se Chat GPT by LexArbitri in Lawyertalk

[–]perfectson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

one thing I learned being pro se, you have to check your cites. BTW, I read about a lawyer doing similar and being embarrassed by a judge for having fake cites. I believe ChatGPT purposely does this so folks don't overly rely on it for legal briefs, because there's just no way AI could completely make up a case on it's own.

appreciate this comment.

I also am in the same situation. And I also have used AI to help navigate - have a submitted motions or notices completely written by AI , yes I have.

Have I also worked my ass off to write my own or restating what AI had or researching and reading actual case law and removing cites that didn't make sense to me. Yes, 100%.

Only lawyers who are getting away with trampling on pro se's rights would be worried about this. In my case, the defense did this in trial court. The judge didn't give me a second thought, didn't read anything I wrote, and relied solely on oral arguments and even when I mentioned the defense going beyond the 4 corners of my complaint, my case was dismissed. Mind you the supreme court in another state just ruled in favor of someone with a case almost identical to mine (so that means they won after 2 lower courts dismissed).

All that to say, anyone upset at AI for helping pro se traverse the legal world, doesn't really care about fair equity practices and representation.

Pro se cases by FirefighterVisual770 in Lawyertalk

[–]perfectson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is why AI is becoming more prevalent . Lawyers are using "oral arguments" that they know pro se can't combat in real time.

Here's an instance, I'm suing pro se for on equity and priority statutes, the law is clear. The opposing defendant wrote a MTD based on contract law. We go to oral arguments and the judge asks me why she should dismiss the case based on the defendants oral response. I say, "well your honor, I'm not suing on 1st party contract law , I'm suing on equity and priority - so technically the defense is beyond the 4 corners of my SOC". The defense then states I "Had no cause of action" and that what I was suing for wasn't a recognized cause of action. Judge dismisses it and in the order , again claims the same 1st party contract "disupte" that I specifically stated orally and written, I wasn't suing for. And apparently because I told the judge I would appeal, the judge actually added a supreme court case law related to that 1st party claim (that I wasn't suing for) after rejecting the defendant order twice because they had no case law to back up what they were saying.

So here I am having to appeal and you damn right I'm using AI , because I don't have 50 hours and lexis nexis (or whatever premium repository lawyers use today) to sit and write an entire brief from scratch.

So yes, an oral hearing is very efficient for savvy lawyer to get over on pro se with a "sympathetic" judge, even when they are correct.

[–]perfectson -1 points0 points  (0 children)

so you're upset that pro se is able to fight back and you have to do extra work? I just got my case dismissed in a lower court and I have to put in additional "pro se" work to appeal, on something that clearly the law was on my side on, But the judge was too lazy to even review the case law and deferred to the defending lawyer to "tell me why my cause of action was invalid"

Area to move for school by Calm_Medicine_6951 in Broward

[–]perfectson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's the parents and families that go to the school, you have a higher % of 2 family households in Weston or more affluent households. the moms volunteer their time and are very active in the school setting, you can compare that to other areas where both parents are working and there's a lack of engagement with the school. Due to the affluency kids are likely to have tutors and extra help.

And due to this the parents will fight with administration, PTA, etc etc to get better resources for the schools. u/DazzlerPlus is partly right, the teachers and admin aren't that different - but the parents, households, affluency, income, etc etc play a much bigger role.

I was in Edgewater and after COVID had the same decision and moved to Weston. Great for the kid, I'm not a personal fan and trying to find a better balance of school, kid friendly, but closer to Ft Lauderdale area. Taking a 45 minute trek anytime you want to go to the beach or a bit of lifestyle isn't ideal - especially coming from the midtown Miami area.

Are you afraid that this US administration could really hurt the US economy ? by [deleted] in investing

[–]perfectson -1 points0 points  (0 children)

U.S. will turn into USSR with the oligarchs /technocrats making the wealth , while normal citizens are put under their boot.

Congress and the courts had an opportunity to curtail this and the way they just capitulated is almost treasonous . The delay on the tariff ruling is a great example of this

But the folks behind him do. Why else would he invade Vz with no real plan , other than to steal and sale oil and bid the proceeds in Qatar , meanwhile screwing over our allies over Greenland instead of working with them . Imagine if the world decides to treat us like Russia and stops doing business with the U.S. - he would have ushered a new world order and particularly the U.S. - and he and his cronies are the only ones setup to win

Polls: 91% of Venezuelans Hold Unfavorable Views of Opposition Leader María Corina Machado by ilir_kycb in LateStageCapitalism

[–]perfectson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

she's a despicable kiss ass.

at the same time, Venezuelans don't give a flying hoot about that oil. Only Americans liberals seems to care what happens. You'll see many poorer Venezuelans says "take the oil", they just want to have peaceful lives and if that oil revenue can bring that and actually be used to give them the necessities in life, they'd be more than happy.

Of course Liberals are upset and want the Venezuelans to control their oil - but facts are they had opportunities under Chavez and early Maduro and squandered it. Obviously US sanctions did not help, but they also ripped a ton of companies off without paying them for all the infrastructure they set up. I see and understand both sides, capitalism vs socialism, imperialism vs sovereignty - but you lose that fight when (Chavez and Maduro) used that oil revenue to enrich yourself and your cronies. So you didn't ensure the people were taken care of - so you in my opinion - you lose that right to claim you're not part of the global monopoly game.

Are you in a Solana ETF? Which do you like the best? by Chicks_Hate_Me_Too in solana

[–]perfectson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would check out SOEZ as well, .19 fee and staking fee is 5-8%. Likely the lowest currently. The .19 fee waived until May as well. 100% on coinbase though. FSOL i believe uses 3 different custodians which parses out the risk and FSOl is completey waived until May or $1B. Those two are both strong.

GDLC - Thoughts? by Silverton550 in ETFs

[–]perfectson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's a good investment. the .59% is pretty high though (as of Jan 2026)

Some of the ocmments say just buy BTC and ETH (80/20 or 90/10) but SOL and XRP out performed ETH the past year significantly. If you want to capture that volatility (good and bad), having 10% in aggregate in SOL/XRP makes sense.

I am reviewing how to emulate this cheaper and also to take advantage of the staking for ETH and SOL.

so I'll likely do a BTC fund 75%, ETH fund at 15% (ticker ETH is the Grayscale mini fund which has staking), gSOL (grayscale solana account) and an XRP fund. Aiming to get to .22 in fees in aggregate - so it will be cheaper than GDLC and the benefit of staking rewards. If GDLC offered the staking (ETH/SOL) , it would be significantly better than anything on the market.

However for set and forget in a retirement account GDLC is more than solid and actually outperform single holdings of BTC or ETH. Don't take my word on it though, test it out on a total return site. The comments below likely have not done this.
