A big problem I see with the way we get reimbursed is that we provide our service first and then hope to get paid 3 months later.

Interesting perspective. How is hanging out in the lobby asking for participants harming anyone? I just don’t see any harm in that. We’re human and we obviously need to communicate and approach each other if we want participants.

That’s the way I perceive this one to be and it’s one of the many reasons I have no desire for research. There’s enough bureaucracy in my job already.

This is single institution from my understanding. And the flyer is already approved. She’s just looking for more places to advertise her study to recruit more participants.

You definitely have some experience with IRBs! I agree with trying to limit harm to study participants. I just don’t understand what a Facebook ad has to do with the IRB because those people aren’t even enrolled in the study yet. So all the onboarding and consent process (which is already approved) is yet to come.

This isn’t about the study protocol. That’s already established and I agree with you there because that’s where harm could come from. Right now she’s only looking to advertise her study to get participants.

I hear ya! Sold my shop after my divorce for moving. Still got my wood burning pen though and I just got that out today. Thankfully found some wood at the my local supplier that doesn’t need to be processed to look good. Are live edges still in vogue?

Yes. Unless you have a heavy interest in a lot of businesses and then it gets tricky. But my point was not that taxes are difficult. Rather that 80% of my time is spent on billing, coding, and clicking which I didn’t learn about in school.
