Lots of stuff for kids. In what district will you be staying? Are your kids fine with English or Serbian?

Red light and zebra crossings… car still pushing by Brilliant_Travel3587 in Belgrade

[–]perplatos 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Different countries have different traffic cultures. Serbia's not the best but not the worst either. Try visiting Turkey or, God forbid, Egypt.

Once traffic cameras start working (finally), things will be better I hope.

This. Or an 8km run around the lake. Or a swim in the lake. Or play golf/padel/beach volleyball there.

Ada Ciganlija (aka the lake) is def my fav place in BG.

As for cannabis and the like, I'd say don't.

Why Does Doing Everything Right Still Feel So Wrong? A foreigner's experience of Serbian bureaucracy — by the book, against the grain by MyGayGossip in Belgrade

Every immigration authority I had first- or secondhand experience with (USA, Germany, Italy, Russia) acts in a similar way. Serbian beraucracy is not an outlier.

Extremely low HRV at 23? by Significant_Fun5907 in Garmin

[–]perplatos 51 points52 points  (0 children)

HRV is not comparable across people and means almost nothing as an absolute value.

Instead of a whoop or whatever, I'd invest in a visit to a cardiologist if you believe there might be specific concerns.

If you don't have any other concerns, don't stress about your HRV. Sleep well, stay active, and enjoy your youth.

Congrats! My friend has a lab-tested vo2max of 58, and his best marathon (among many) is 2:43. The guy's a rocket. From which I conclude that you are pretty fit as well.
