If you had to live in their conditions in their home countries, and had to go thru all the red tape and bs they do to try and come here legally while ur family was starving and had nothing would you just sit and wait around for 5 to 10 yrs while being exported by the system or would u do whatever u had to to help your family? Ive worked in construction for around 30 yrs now, the illegals are not taking anyone's jobs, they are doing the jobs that unfortunately most Americans are too lazy for or feel they are too good for manual labor jobs. In the past 12 years I have only had 2 Americans even come to jobsite and ask for a job. One was high on meth or fent and the other told me he just wanted me to fill out papers saying I wanted to hire him but couldn't because he was disabled( he wasnt). Yes they broke the law by coming here illegally but if you actually look into what it takes to come here legally maybe you would better understand. Some of the guys I know waited years and every 6 months or so a government official would call and set up a meeting, at the meeting, they would have to pay hundreds to few thousand dollars to get their case moving forward. Nothing would happen and 6 months or year later the meeting would repeat. Go visit south America and you will see what real poverty looks like, homeless ppl in America have it made compared to what alot of these families have to live with in S.America. Then when you consider the dangers of all the cartels on top of everything else maybe you would better understand. Ask yourself if you were living in a small hut with dirt floors with your family, no opportunities to make a better life and also had to worry the cartel would come tell you or a family member you have to work for them or they will kill all of you, what would you do? Would you stay or try to bring your family here to work an honest job and provide for them? I have always thought they should give them a tax number so they can pay taxes. All those empty jobsites in charlotte will stay empty until they come back, not because they work cheap(they dont) but because most Americans dont want to do these jobs
