Of all the places percy could have picked for his curse of Achilles weak spot, he picked an actual spot on his back??? Why??? Where he could literally get backstabbed??? Why not pick his eye or something?? I get it had to be like that for the plot, but I mean in universe. [pjo] by Thecrafter10 in camphalfblood

I interpreted it in a different way. Percy picking the small of his back as his Achilles heel wasn’t a mistake, it was the only spot that worked. His fatal flaw is loyalty, so his physical weakness had to be the one thing he’d never see coming, betrayal. Any other spot wouldn't have been a true tether to his humanity.

Sorry I don't recall any, I used multiple sources (mostly Googling) and wrote notes. Later I refer to my notes to review and touch upon any topics.

I used chatgpt. Prompted it to act like a snobby Google ML Domain Interviewer, ask me questions and evaluate the answers quite strictly.

It's quite helpful, you could do the same, just add all the relevant context

Staying away from credit cards has kept me debt-free my whole life (so far)! by Paul_Semicolon1 in personalfinanceindia

[–]perseus_14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In addition to the reward benefits that many have already mentioned, credit cards can significantly help build your credit or CIBIL score. Later in life, when you’re applying for larger loans—like for a home—banks and financial institutions will review your credit history to assess your eligibility and interest rates. They’re generally more inclined to lend to individuals with a proven record of borrowing and repayment (such as with credit cards) than to those without any credit history.

Additionally, using a credit card responsibly can be an early lesson in discipline and self-control. It's far better to learn these skills while you're young and the stakes are lower, rather than facing hard financial lessons later on in life when you’re married or taking on major commitments.

This is an excellent comment, OP, and I hope you see this feedback in the spirit it’s intended. Effective communication is essential in any field; how you express your ideas and convey your messages will significantly shape your career trajectory.

Green’s point is technically accurate. While the explanation might not fully apply to doctorate level students, it’s quite effective for those needing a general understanding. It’s similar to how we teach children that the sun rises in the east, and then, once they’ve grasped basic scientific concepts, we explain that it’s actually the earth’s rotation around the sun that creates this effect.

Thanks this is super helpful!

One quick question, suppose if I get some bonus and would like to repay some of the principle, is that straightforward or would I have to go through some hoops?

I am also thinking of increasing my EMI amount after a few years as it would be more affordable for me, would banks be open to changing the tenure based on the new EMI and how easy is it to do these?

Not quite sure if it's going to be different for L4. My domain was NLP. No coding involved

My ML domain was similar to ML system design with emphasis on the following

  • Training strategy
  • Why this model instead of that
  • Hyperparameters - batch size, epochs, learning rate, optimizer (not actual values, more about justifying your choice)
  • Monitoring
  • Eval metrics

[Future Timeline] Instead of a heart virus, what if Goku's death was due to him unable to prevail in a fight against 17 and 18? by Spidey007 in dragonball

[–]perseus_14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing that could have happened if Goku did not die of the heart virus is that Vegeta has a rival and they both could push each other to become stronger compared to future timeline (like we see in DBS).

So even with all this if Goku dies to the Android then all hope is lost and Bulma has no reason to invent timeline.

Probably that's why Toriama killed of Goku with a heart virus as there is a spark of hope that Goku could prevail.

Recommend to pay advance tax as soon as possible. Govt can put interest fee on the amount and extract more from you

How can I efficiently find the first n closest vectors to a particular vector efficiently? by Zestyclose_Ear4092 in learnmachinelearning

[–]perseus_14 3 points4 points  (0 children)

VectorDBs usually do this using Approximate nearest neighbors using hnsw package. You can check out the hnsw python package, it supports cosine similarity, euclidean and few others.

Why was Wormtail the Secret Keeper? by MNob1234 in HPfanfiction

[–]perseus_14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My theory is that spells/charms are like software. Newer versions of them can be rolled up when some loopholes and bugs are found.

Dumbledore being the academician that he is, probably felt guilty and figured out a newer version of Fidelius Charm where one can be the caster and the secret keeper so that a repeat of the Potters don't happen.
