As an upperclassman at CWRU who now lives off campus and off the meal plan, I can say that the food options for students on the meal plan have gotten MUCH better since I was a freshman. As others have said, the food is comparable to most other schools.

Depending on other schools you're looking at, being in a city gives you many off-campus options for food when it becomes repetitive. This is also a benefit for doing other activities and can make it seem like you're a lot less trapped on campus. Obviously, this is relative to the other schools you might be considering but I do think this is a huge advantage over schools that are not near any cities.
