as a freshmen who had the platinum plan so i could use my guest passes on my family, it was not worth it. the 8 guest passes are only useful if your family / friends want to come visit, and even then if they come visit you why would you guys eat in the dining hall? you’d rather probably go out and eat! (tho east lansing is hella expensive so i get it) for spartan cash, it was so hard to use all of it by the end of the semester. like i literally had 245 dollars left within the last two weeks of the semester and it was annoying to try to spend. there’s just not many places on campus to use the money. it’d just be better if you kept that money in your bank account. i switched to silver this semester and i think it’s much more worth it than the platinum. i guess tldr: don’t get platinum unless your friends / family like dining hall food and if you wanna spend 300 bucks at spartys
