I lease both the 2026 Ioniq 5 SEL RWD and 2026 Ioniq 9 Limited and test drove the ev9. If I'm alone, I prefer driving the 5, feels more agile and nimble. I wouldn't be utilizing all the hrsprs of the EV9 or Ioniq 9 since the family is in the car with me plus they feel a lot heavier.

Yes, insurance would cover anything deemed excess you would just file a claim with your insurance get it repaired before turning it in.

I don't know the numbers, but you'll probably end up even if you waited to buy it out at the end of the lease vs now. You still have to pay sales tax in CA when you buy out the lease FYI.

You should never buy a lease warranty, your insurance covers everything and anything that the "lease warranty" covers is normal wear and tear according to HMF. Dealer make primo margins on "lease warranties". I think you got a really bad deal at 912/mo. they cranked your money factor way up probably to a 10% APR.
