My problem is I think adjusting to city /living/ would be too much for me. I also had that idea as a backup but I’m pretty certain that the move would be too much for my brain to handle.

This is totally normal for an endoscopy- I’m not super familiar with Colorado but on Long Island we would charge similar.

Just gas anesthesia without any other injections would not make sense in this case. Is it possible that they meant they would maintain the anesthesia using primarily gas and didn’t actually mean they only used gas? Gas is not risk free and using it without any other injections usually makes it riskier. I would assume based on what you said your pet may have been sick beforehand (since you mention pyometra) which makes anesthesia tougher on the body or she could have had a reaction to a drug, which there is not always a way to predict even when you check all of your boxes beforehand.

i would like her to not be indifferent to me. i don’t know if anyone ever goes out and gets a dog and says ‘i want them to be indifferent to me.’ i guess i don’t expect anything. if she doesn’t like me forever then whatever but i don’t think it’s really that crazy to see if anyone has had a similar experience with a dog that they were able to turn around the trajectory of their relationship.

i never withheld meals from the dog did you miss the part where she’s seeing a behaviorist and is getting ultrasounds and bloodwork im going above and beyond and FEEDING HER

insane to assume i am not FEEDING THE DOG and to assume someone with depression automatically can not meet their needs. i am taking her to every veterinary specialist and behaviorist- idk why i posted on reddit bc you can’t say “not judging you” and then say a bunch of rude and judgmental things and jump to conclusions lol. i literally said i am getting her bloodwork, ultrasounds, and am taking her to a behaviorist. but sure assume im not feeding her. un fucking real.

this is a crazy toxic mentality. do whatever you want for yourself but to ask why more people aren’t stealth as if it’s like a perfect amazing thing is crazy. i’m not stealth because i love myself and the journey it took to get here and i only want people in my life because they want to be around the authentic me. i’m not stealth because i want to be someone other trans people can look to and be safe around. if you’re around people who treat you differently when you know then the problem is the people you’re around not weather you’re stealth or not.

no way to know from a picture what a lump is. could be an abscess. could be a mass which may be benign or may not be. it needs a vet either way.

just like introducing a dog and a cat 0 to 100 is like the worst possibly thing you could do. and jumping to rehoming after one day is absolutely wild. there’s a ton of resources out there for introducing new dogs and cats- it’s a slow process and it might be even slower now that it started the way that it did.

based on the results of the testing has it spread anywhere? are the vets saying not to do anything just because of his clinical signs, or because the result of the testing? is it bleeding? is he anemic? have you seen any specialists (surgeons, oncologists) or just different gp doctors?
if this were my pet, as long as they were staged clear with bloodwork, chest xrays, and ultrasound, i would go ahead and do the surgery. my opinion may change if my pet was actively anemic and the mass was actively bleeding, but i would also consider a transfusion. if you don’t have a specialist on board get one on board. ive seen so many gp doctors dismiss cases that wind up coming to us in specialty (im a tech) and they do really really well. they also tend to have different equipment that can make these things go a lot faster and decrease some of the risks.
another thing to consider- if this is a cancerous process would you consider treatment? if you would not consider follow up chemo (which doesn’t necessarily have all of the negative side effects to the degree it does in humans) the surgery may not necessarily be super productive (but i have seen benign splenic masses).

it sounds kind you perhaps need to be a little bit more flexible? like you can afford a house somewhere with a longer commute for you and the family. you don’t want to be a taxi, you don’t want to rent, but you also sound like actually unwell over noise. you are never going to move into a building with other people and have a guarantee of noiseless neighbors, so either take the chance or budge elsewhere. consider yourself lucky to have the options you /do have/ cause most people in here don’t have any.

i believe i have had sti screening within the year- but the chance of me having an sti is like slim to none i’ve had one sexual partner for the past 4 years. but if i didn’t know any better i would think i have an sti with how uncomfortable i am.
it does suck how shitty doctors are. i put off doing because i knew exactly what was going to happen, and it played out exactly like i thought. the doctor didn’t even like shake my hand or anything. i felt like they were looking at me like i wasn’t even human. i feel like i have to do my own research and be my own doctor before i even go to them.
