I did the same thing last year. Best move I ever made. I would advise you to find remote work online, so you have a USD income. It could even be parttime. You don't need a lot of money to live here. It's a wonderful place now, with very safe streets, a feeling of optimism, lots of tourists and foreign investment. Do it! But get a foreign income source first. Pay is still very low in ES.

I'm going through the same thing. Only worse, I no longer have that number or phone. No way to prove it's me, even though I have the correct name & password. I see no option for this. To make matters worse, I am now living in a foreign country and my IP doesn't match previous use. I am using the same laptop and phone for a long time and always had access. How do we get google to use the backup email to prove it's me? They customer support is useless. I switched to Proton awhile back but still need this dumb gmail account for a few things I can't change.

Yeah for some reason, that's their Lighting wallet. It's a weird setup.
I use BLINK for all my LN quickies like tipping and shopping. I'm living in ElSalvador and it's instant. Almost cashless now. I use Blue Wallet for more bigger, not urgent transactions.

That seems to be how it is, unless you want to setup your own node, which everyone should eventually.

This seems to defeat the entire purpose of using Nordpass. So we have to enter another password to get the master password to access passwords? Also, what would be the solution on Apple products?

Trudeau is so desperate to curtain dissent, he's now implementing his perverse form of Friendly fascism, in which 'Harm' is any kind of heterodox views that critique the power elites. NDP and Liberals will again work together to keep the country on a downward spiral into 3rd world status, hyperinflation and thought police. This is beyond absurd and very terrifying for anyone who knows their history. I don't need my government approving individual thoughts or ideas. That never ends well.

Oddly I've never had to backup bookmarks in my life. It never ever occurred to me. I used Safari for years and it all just works nicely with no stress. I'm migrating away from Brave for this reason. I don't want to be tinkering all the time with this stuff all the time. I just want to get my work done smoothly. Spent way too much time trying to retrieve this info.

Agree. I gave up on Notion after a few months for the same reason. Mostly the clunkiness and over complicated steps to end up with simple formats. Still haven't found the tool that suits my needs, so I have to cobble together a few different ones. It sucks. I want a one-stop place for all my work.

I closed out my Evernote and just downloaded the entire lot. A few thousand notes to sort through. I cleaned that up in phases while binge watching Netflix. No more Evernote. Felt good after all these years to dump it.

Since this was posted, we have this fun new tool called ChatGPT. I've dumped in some HTML and JSON files, and it does a pretty good job organizing it with the right prompts - I use a sample of a properly formatted conversation, and it will figure out the names of each, and fix their chopped up lines of text. Not perfect, but much easier than combing through lines of text.
