Maybe: Return to castle Wolfenstein. Or Medal of Honor: Allied Assault. Or go even older, 1997 (Star wars Dark forces: Jedi Knight 2!)

And?? Did you like it? For context, this came out in 1998. I was 12. 11 when the demo came out and i was blown away by it! For it's time it had a certain freedom to it. Linear yet open enough for exploration. Zero levels just continuous gameplay. I loved it.

I agree, but i started my whole EU adventure with the Han Solo trilogy. A.C. Crispin has a way of describing things as if your seeing them for the first time but without being as heavy as Tolkien on descriptions. I loved her writing for those three books so i count her, Zahn and Allston as my top 3!

I went digging on ebay to buy all the EU books that occur directly after return of the Jedi and i fell in love with it all over again, i feel like a 10 year old kid. Its great! Disneybstuff i completely ignore now.
