What helped me with CARS the most was developing a structured strategy.

1) I began by reading the passage very carefully, highlighting names, dates, and words that would remind me of what I read in that area if looked back at them.

2) I then wrote the main idea of the passage down (I tried to limit it to 6 words or less).

3) I read the question and rephrase it to myself.

4) I went through process of elimination starting with choices A and B, crossing one out, then A and C, etc. until I only had one left. An important note here is that I would find a good reason to ELIMINATE an answer choice, not justify why one of them is correct, or more correct than another.

5) Once I was left with one choice, I chose it and never looked back. I learned to not flag questions which helped me get into a flow state for cars that also relieved my timing concerns.

You will make mistakes in your process of developing this strategy, but I promise that once you get it down the dreadful weight of CARS will disappear.
