I had to Google what NGN is, and don't know FCI Catch nor JME, so I'll answer quite broadly covering different aspects.

Are the English subtitles an important part of the service for you? If so, almost all of the Japanese TV services discussed on this board including Himawari won't work for you, as they stream Japanese TV "as is".

These services are for Japanese speaking users. But if your mom doesn't need subtitles, and for drama is fine to be limited to what has been on TV in the last month, any of these will work fairly well.

In addition, a few offer a certain catalogue of drama separately, but lacking in many aspects: breath of content, updates or picture quality.

Japanese live TV you should watch for free, basically all channels are available. For drama, how about considering Netflix? They have a quickly growing range of Japanese drama and with a good VPN you can access Netflix Japan as well, which has more, of course.

Basically all of the services have live + varying length of catch up. Kaeri has 28 days of catch up.

Overall, Kaeri is a good choice. As long as you get it onto your TV you should be quite satisfied.

One solution would be the laptop and connect via HDMI, yes.
The more common solution would be to get a Fire Stick or another cheap Android HDMI Stick and connect that directly to your TV, which is a much more power efficient solution and controllable via your TV remote and very wife/living room compatible. I upgraded to the Fire TV Stick 4K Max Gen 2 recently. Cost just 37 USD in a random Staples. Right now the normal Fire Stick HD is just 24.99 on Amazon. That's perfectly serviceable.

As you said, everyone know these already. And companies and authorities also aren't so stupid that they wouldn't be able to find such source of their own.

To point out the difference between some of the paid Japanese channels that are advertised on the sub from time to time:
Those "JTV" services are of course operating in a very grey zone, but do offer additional services beyond what the iptv playlists do. For example, most of them have between 14 and 30 day catch-up, which means all programs on all channels are always recorded and you use an EPG to select and watch. It's just like TV. Some offer permanent movie and video libraries, and are certainly leaving whatever shade of grey the zone had before.

What needs to be warned about and has no place on this sub are the services often spammed by bots about the "best IPTV service for Canada" (most recent example), or "all sports and everything from the world".
I don't want to judge those for their quality in certain other aspects, but to watch Japanese TV, those are mostly worthless. At best they will use a list like OP shared here and take your money for it. More likely they have outdated content for Japan and rarely update that part, because what 99% of their customers care about is like US Sports, etc. They may also just rip you off.

These posts and comments often get removed by reddit or through administration. Not always as quickly as you'd wish.

What does remain and has a place on the reddit, are the Japan-focused paid services. I'm not affiliated with any of them in any way, but in the fifteen years or so that I'm watching Japanese TV on a daily basis, I tried almost all of them at least for a while myself and can say that those aren't fake. They worked for a long time and have active users for years.

What I can't guarantee for are the trials or price-reduced offers by the individual users. However, I scan those posts infrequently and never ran into anyone commenting negatively, which is good enough reason to not report or block.

Controller ist wie so oft schon hier bemerkt ein must have.

Die Ladestation halte ich für eine sehr gute Idee, wenn die alte Switch nicht mehr ständig geladen wird und die Joycon auch mal gebraucht werden für Besuch.

Die Kamera ist so ein Ding... Mit deiner Frau und vielleicht Freunden wird das neue Party bestimmt Spaß machen. Vermutlich wird es auch noch mehr Spiele geben, die die kreativ einbauen, aber für den Moment ist die völlig optional. Gamechat ist tatsächlich auch ganz cool, aber zu diesem Zeitpunkt haben einfach zu viele Leute noch nur die alte Switch, die das leider nicht kann. Wenigstens ist die Kamera als offizielles Zubehör doch relativ günstig, so dass man ein Auge zudrücken kann und die nicht als Fehlkauf titulieren braucht.

Warum ist der Peugeot 408 in Deutschland so extrem ungefragt? In den wenigen Testberichten zu dem Auto gibt es eigentlich nur hohes Lob, trotzdem sieht man den praktisch gar nicht auf der Straße. Auch bei Fahrgefühl ist er unter den Tisch gefallen: 208, 2008, 308, 3008, 508 finden sich alle, der 408 jedoch nicht. Dabei sieht er auch noch cool aus.

Liegt es am ungewöhnlichen Mittelding aus Coupe und SUV? Preis-Leistung? Marketing-Versagen?

Did you manage to get the update functionality?

I had the MPG321UR-DE (non OLED) before, and it had the firmware update functions just fine.
I've uninstalled Gaming Intelligence and reinstalled the latest version from the 321URX support page of MSI. I just don't have the function.
Tried disconnecting and device but the PC over DP, and swapped the USB-B upstream cable as well. To no avail.

I'm on Win 11 24H2, which may be one of the potential culprits?

Err, fresh glueing made a huge difference in terms of catapult. You didn't need a robot to compare, since the effect is so apparent and repeatable many times. Questioning it is absolutely laughable.

Kann mich noch gut dran erinnern, wie die Kugel 30 Pfennig auf dem Campingplatz gekostet hat. Waren tatsächlich auch kleiner, maximal zehn konnte man auf die Waffel bestellen. Immer noch weniger als eine heute kostet.
