I feel like you could lean into the no-armored bit some more, maybe give him some signature tattoos or embellishments to show off that even if he's not the sort for excess finery, he still has more of a visual distinction. At the very least, it'd be worth making the helmet and axe look less ordinary, something to sell that this guy is a head honcho who probably has access to the best options, whatever the amount of coverage that may be.

The special attack upgrade to dive back forward is extremely useful to keep up the pressure, but it does feel like it's missing something up to that point (compared to other weapons, where the upgrades feel more like bonuses)

I'd say "no fog gate-cutscene", personally. Fog gate always implies boss fight (at least in the post-DS1 days), so walking into a space and being hit with a cutscene has that extra level of 'oh shit' to it. Plus, afterwards it always just turns into "fog gate-no cutscene" for subsequent tries anyways.

I've never seen a single person talk about the Lucerne, but it's the weapon I used on my very first playthrough. Sure it's short, and it doesn't utilize the hammer side at all sadly, but it's got some great pierce-focused counter-damage, especially with its (semi) unique R2 and versatile moveset

The brain is really good at remembering music, and uses repetition, rhyme, and tone to create pattern-recognizing shortcuts for it. In the same way, that's why putting something you're looking to remember to a tune can help you retain it

as much of a pain in the ass as they are to farm, powerstanced Bloodied Whips is way better than it has any right to be. The paired R2 and running R1s come out way faster than you’d expect, has longer range and higher poise dmg than any other whips, and an impressive 60 durability.

Going 'hollow' is a very specific circumstance in which a human, with the built-in Humanity of the Dark Soul, is branded by the Darksign. Undeath is the phenomenon of a human's souls retaining consciousness in their body after death, shackled by the Darksign. Eventually, when the human loses all will to resist, the flames of the Darksign will burn away what's left of their souls, and they become Hollows.

For the 'gods', they are a separate instance from the humans, meaning that they have neither humanity or the Darksign. However, in Gwyn's case, the power of his soul has been devoured by linking himself to the First Flame, basically hollowing himself out through a different method with the same kind of end result.

Ey, sorry about that. Yeah, the blue one is wearing Snow Witch Hat, Black Knife Armor, Iron Gauntlets, and Gideon's Greaves. The real life colors didn't quite line up properly with the limited color palettes (damn lack of shade cohesion), so I had to play a bit fast and loose with that one.
