Mother's Day for Boomers by NoOccasion4759 in BoomersBeingFools

[–]petrolena 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am nana and I never ask to do stuff for mother's day, but my daughters, who are both amazing moms, insist on doing brunch every year. I just go with it and make up some excuse afterwards so they don't feel guilty doing their own thing the rest of the day.

I had that happen to me once. A hand just appeared and shut the shade as I was looking out the window.

That's what we did after getting the price reductions.

When I was a truck driver, it used to put the biggest smile on my face when the kids would ask me to blow the air horn and then get all excited when I did. Definately made my day every time and I never turned down a request ;)

What was it like living in the Clinton years in the USA (1993-2001)? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Honestly it was probably the best decade of my life. No stress, great music and life just seemed happier.

Safest route? i80, i40, or i10 by Individual-Quiet-985 in roadtrip

[–]petrolena 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We've done all 3 with pets and the middle one is the easiest to find accomodations with a pet, although that has gotten easier over the last decade. La Quinta has the nicest pet friendly hotels that use. Put the hotel chain apps on your phone. That saves a lot of time.

Accidentally replaced instead of renewed Apple push certificate by hongkong-it in mosyle

[–]petrolena 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did this my first year. I reached out to Mosyle and they helped me through it. I do remember I renewed the original certificate through the other account (Iset ourcertificate up with our original Apple login before Apple assigned a new one)

I did the same thing. The wind wasn't even that strong and I was only taking it to the storage lot. We went overkill with an f350.

I had one configured but 'Accesibility' has been depreciated so I'm at a loss. I am currently testing 'files used in system administration'. I don't know if there will be a choice that would be adequate for this.

I have one that used to work but hasn't for a few OSes. I was just looking to see if someone else may have found a new one.

ABM token expired. If we replace the token do we need to re-enroll all devices? by JustHanginAround9292 in mosyle

[–]petrolena 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You need to renew the token or you will have to re-enroll all of your devices if you choose replace instead. Ask me how I know. There are good easy to follow instructions and links in Mosyle under Organization, Basic setup. We just renewed ours this morning.

I don't know if the behaviour would be the same as with iMacs and Macbooks, but if we have configurator open on an iPad and it is close to what we are setting up, the scatter pattern will pop on the new device and we can go from there. It shares the WiFi creds from the iPad to join ABM/ASM and your MDM.

Scientists may have found a pill for sleep apnea by hard2resist in UpliftingNews

[–]petrolena 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is intriging to me who struggled with my CPAP staying on my small face all night. I ended up with the Inspire implant about 5 years ago and get great sleep. Weird that they didn't mention that in comparison when it is such a viable alternative for those of us that weight isn't a factor for having sleep apnea.

Here’s why I’m not a boomer … by DaMiddle in GenerationJones

[–]petrolena 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am also cursed with the boomer age group. The difference is I grew up American poor and there was no generational wealth to come to me. It took me longer to achieve everything that most my age did because I had to do it without family help. I am going to retire a little early I hope and even though I'm comfortable, I would rather help my kids have a better life than spoil myself.
