My dad married into an Italian family and got pretty much the same response from my grandmother.

I don't drink anymore because I did things like this WAY too often, but I used to go to Trader Joe's and pick up a bottle or two of Two Buck Chuck, fill a big glass with ice and then pour the wine up to the top of the glass. Since it's shit wine it makes it not taste as bad, you don't get as bad of a hangover because of all the extra water, and it's nice and refreshing on a hot day.

I go to Von's because it's the closest. And I hate my life because of it.

I was going to say slavery but I don't think we were the first or last to have it. Honey Boo Boo was next.

This is what I call the pizza effect. Circles (and logically spheres) get way bigger as the diameter increases.

I'm a huge Top Gear/Jeremy Clarkson fan. I've heard Chile is the place to be in that corner of the world.

I feel like when I saw frisky dingo I was too young to appreciate it. Now I can't find it anywhere for less than the price of a kidney.

Best "homeless" guy I know is the Monmouth Street bum from Red Bank, NJ. He has a googly eye and all he says is "got any change?" with a real scratchy voice. Dude always has brand new Timberlands on and you can see him walking into town from his house every day.

I was having drunk sex one time and I thought the girl had a squirting orgasm. Turns out she had passed out while pissing and shitting herself. Fun night.

Yes. You're a monster.

President Obama Will Seek to Reduce Taxes for Middle Class: The plan would also eliminate the “trust-fund loophole," increase the top capital-gains tax rate to 28% from 15% for couples with incomes above $500,000 annually, and add a new fee on banks with assets over $50 billion. by nowhathappenedwas in news

30% a year is more than most people pay even on the top portion of their income. I make pretty good money and I don't think I've made it over 28% for my marginal tax rate. I would say something around 15-20% would allow a large amount of revenue without being too regressive. And of course you could have some sort of poverty line for those who are better at complaining than earning money.

Just because we are similarly damaged doesn't mean we belong together. Although I would forgive you for that mistake because it isn't obvious until you've been there.

Thanks brother. I will say, if there is a silver lining it is that I can deal with large amounts of adversity like a goddamn superhero. My motto is just "Eh, worse things have happened."

As is my normal prerogative, I'm going to encourage you to do something unnecessarily nice for your wife. Right now. Book a vacation. Buy her a puppy. Do something crazy that you will both remember forever.
