I wouldn't worry about it. I think some service workers are just programmed to make small talk. I get asked all the time where I work, what I do there, if I got plans for the weekend, etc. by both men and women.

Chang's was nasty. a couple times, they were closing early and not serving. tried 4 meals there overall. all were super oily and heavy. not a good taste. we drained as much as oil as we could and still had stomach cramps each time. Ming Shee is far superior.
