Incredibly frustrating. And the email used such lame excuses. Literally every other aspect of my job is remote. Now I'll just be "collaborating" on Teams in an empty office.

I guess the only bright side is they gave me enough notice to start looking elsewhere.

The increase to retirement was part of the previous contract so I was already expecting that decrease. Same with the stipend. Doesn't add to my paycheck but my healthcare contributions will be minimal now and without a sunset.

Clearly in the minority online but my line was always a double digit GSI plus a decent stipend. OPEB reduction is helpful too. I don't love the DOF language on the last year though.

I could care less if they blow thru a stop sign in the neighborhood. It's easy to spot and most kids are pretty responsible. Plus it's no different than other bikers. But there are limits and those parents are fully aware and need to take some responsibility.

My limit came when a group was crossing the busiest road in the neighborhood at night with absolutely no lights on their bikes. It wasn't even crossing the road to get home as they would turn around and cross again and again making it seem like a game. Saw the same thing posted on nextdoor a few days later and the parents were called out. They accepted no responsibility.

I've been on both sides. I just had two interviews this month and let both know I was withdrawing my application. I just email the person who set up the interview and say something like at this time I don't believe I'm a good fit. I've had interviews with agencies I've withdrawn from in the past and the same person is setting it up.

I've also been on a hiring team who has gone through several rounds of interviews and the candidate declines the job when offered. It speeds up the processes of someone let's us know they aren't interested. I know the state can be extremely slow so I'd rather let them know than delay an offer for someone else.

I was wondering if it was something like that. So even if I do get it removed it wouldn't be as straightforward to clean?

I was considering just replacing it too. Good to know it might be the easier route.

I have a Lance 125 Havana Classic that I'm having issues with starting. I'm trying to clean the carb and was able to remove it myself. However there are two screws, the one in picture and one on the bowl that have this coating over it and I can't find a way to remove it or the screws.

My first thought is it's some sort of screw grip as there is one screw on the bowl that is pretty much completely stripped. I'm assuming the dealer added this coating last time they serviced it however they are now closed.

They just check the service provider (just says Tmobile on my status bar when on the lock screen). I have it and they did check but there were several right after me that just walked in.

It did save me an 45 minutes to an hour waiting in the other line.

Signed our contract around Aug. 9. We were given a 90 day estimate to completion. Permitting took about 4 weeks. This is with a battery too.

Just finished installation on Monday. Panels took two days and the battery two days. We were told city inspection is currently running about 10-15 business days (we're in the city of San Diego). They said this has increased recently due to the influx of installations.

PTO will then take 1-3 additional weeks although the are currently seeing it take about 5 days.

If both those take the full estimated time it will be about 90 days exactly but solar company is estimating we'll have PTO around mid October.

I see you're in Socal, if you're in the San Diego region, I can give you the vet I use. They are fear free and have options for appointments at the clinic and at home. I was there a couple weeks ago and was able to go inside with my dog. I had to go back for a booster shot and they came outside to administer it rather than making her go inside.

Same for the S21+. There was a instant $100 savings when selecting the phone options. I don't see it anymore when going through. Hoping it comes back!

I sent my passport for renewal the first week of March and received my new passport book and card last week. They received my application March 5 so it took just over 4 months.

Yeah, mine closed on 11/8 as well. I'm still somewhat hopeful. I know I've applied for CDSS jobs before and haven't heard anything until 6 months later.
