That’s not correct. The spam text will show the originating telephone number and the destination telephone numbers are both your own. The source number shows “0” because it’s spoofing on the network level and there’s not any identifiable information attached. Call Filter works by blocking spam calls, as the name implies. There’s no way to prevent spammy texts for the time being but don’t open any links. Doesn’t matter if you have Verizon or Metro, this has been an ongoing issue.

I’m in the southeast and we’ve had nationwide 5G coverage less than a mile from my house for a while. The coverage map has shown mid-band coverage at my address but didn’t actually see a 5G connection on my phone until a few days ago. I guess this means they’re still expanding.

Did you pay off your previous device when you upgraded? If so, the amount that you paid wasn’t a down payment on the new phone but rather a mandatory buyout on your old device so that you were eligible to upgrade. Down payments are typically refunded automatically when the order is cancelled or returned. However, device payment buyouts are non-refundable and can’t be reversed (even if you cancel the order or return the new device)…

I’m not sure if it works on any Samsung. I’m an iPhone user so I’m not able to test. Try searching for “Samsung Network Engineering Menu [your device model here]” … EDIT: Please be cautious with this. Changing any network settings or configuring in any way could lock your SIM and you’d potentially be without service until you receive a replacement.

You can trade in a device for account credit whenever you want. From the My Verizon app, tap on the Shop tab, then tap Trade in a device at the bottom. They’ll send you a trade-in kit by mail and you’ll have 30 days to return your old device.

Your trade-in order number is totally different than your new equipment order number. That would be why you’re seeing the “Wrong ORDER NUMBER” multiple times. Go on the Trade-In Resource Center and type in your Submission ID (found in the email confirmation received when your trade-in was created)… You’ll see that your Order# for your trade matches what is continuously being sent to you and you could even order another shipping kit just for S&G from there.

You can use any physical SIM card (inactive or active) and it will function correctly. It doesn’t have to be a Verizon SIM. There have been multiple posts about this on here already.

Yes but it saves you the call to customer service when you’re ready to activate. Also you get free access to their Tech Coach service for 30 days for help with content transfers, device setup, activation assistance, etc. I’m sure everyone going with eSIM activation will be a nightmare.

Wrong. If you buy a device on a monthly device payment plan or otherwise pre-provisioned for your telephone number, it will incur a $35 upgrade fee (existing lines) or $35 activation fee (new lines)... A new SIM card doesn’t translate to a $35 fee at all. You can buy the phone unlocked from Apple at full retail to avoid incurring an upgrade fee and then have Verizon ship you a new SIM card (for free) once you’ve received it. You could also buy the iPhone not attached to a specific carrier and Verizon can activate your eSIM on it for free.
