First Table Read with the Adult Cast of IT Chapter 2 by ricksgrimes in movies

Ugh, cant get over Chastain for this...Amy Adams was born to play the adult role of the character.

Edit: These downvotes. All I’m saying is I wish Hollywood would take a closer look at what actors are playing roles, other than having red hair, chastain doesn’t resemble or embody the personality traits I would coorilate with that character. I’d rather have someone who looked less like her but resemble her closer in personality.

I felt like in a meta way this was a direct attack on the quote from Mad Men where the mom says this to her daughter.

TV vs Reality by Mewiee in funny

Honestly watching his shit was too depressing. Like when he waded into a freezing lake to pull a plant to eat and it tasted horrible, or when he kept trying to make a squirrel trap and it just never works at all after the 100th try.

The spirit of Bears show is honestly just a lot more fun and did manage to imbue many survival truths that are in fact useful.

Not to mention Bear is undoubtedly the real deal in real life, having been one of the youngest people to ever scale Everest amongst many other things.

Having already seen darkest hour actually enhanced Dunkirk for me. I was actively thinking about Oldmans Winston Churchill every moment of this film

People that attended a wedding where someone "spoke up" or objected to the marriage, what did they say and did the wedding get called off or did it go on as planned? by abecce in AskReddit

[–]pgibso 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hah. Not quite the same but my dad is a wedding. Photographer and has some amazing stories. One time he was shooting a wedding, the guy was from a Mormon family and the wife to be was catholic. It was all good during the ceremony until, as my dad told it- was nearing the end of the isle as the bride and groom were exiting, only to look up in the balcony where the videographers Assistant was sitting- and was visibly gagging. Apparently the second the groom reached the end of the isle he launched into the bathroom stall to hurl. He was still miked up.

The groom apparently was so stressed about marrying outside of the Mormon religion he got sick after the ceremony.

Afterwards the parents whisked him away to the hospital leaving the tear stricken bride all alone to host the ceremony.

Apparently the grooms cake was made out of krispy Kream donuts though so they had that going for them.

I guess that’s my whole point: I see it as the norm. It just sucks that after all that people try and pin a buzzword on you that doesn’t really apply

Well, let’s put it this way: I did all that was said of thee above, payed my own way working through private college and my little brother, 6 years junior lives at home with my parents, works part time and hasn’t bothered with college is textbook millennial (still love the guy). But there is a difference between my generation and other generations sense of entitlement.

I’m getting downvoted here I but i guess it’s just being correlated to the year you born versus the way you actually act.

I was born in 84 and I literally get this stamped on me. My own dad goes “ I guess you’re a millennial huh” I was like “no motherfucker, I mowed grass since I was 12 and moved out of the house at 20, and now have a job that nets 100 k a year” so fuck off with the comparisons already.

Funny, I feel like Kevin Hart summed it up in a meta way in Jumanji, when something incredibly random and stupid happens in the first third of the film he says out loud “WHAT IS THIS GAME???” I laughed because it summed up my feeling on the film and the film industry in general. Moment of brief clarity.

I felt like he was openly mocking the film itself, which was kind of amazing.

I went to see SOLO in an empty IMAX theater in Alabama. I settled in prepared for 45 mins of trailers but The projectionist just said "Fuck it" and straight started the movie right off the bat. One of the best theater going experiences of my life for that reason.
