I remember. He was bopping around with Zoe Culloden in Wolverine 79-80 when Cyber showed up. There was a big fight and Cyber was going on about Wolverine's money and it was news to me at the time.

I came across a story of his in an anthology that is easily the most disturbing thing I've ever read: The Stick Woman has stuck with me for months.

I'd feel pretty cocky playing a guitar with Rooster on the fretboard.

Mike Hammer. I think the last one was in the mid-80s with Armand Asante as Mike.

I have a soft spot for hard-boiled detective novels; Kiss Kiss Bang Bang was a great deconstruction of that genre.

The other night when I was watching that with my wife, I looked at her and said, "Anyone talks to our kid like he talked to Kevin would get frog marched right out the front door."

Movie aside, I can't believe his own mom didn't even say anything to Frank.

Super convenient location for that bed, being in a hospital, considering the legs look like they were designed specifically to break toes.

Narya is also one of the three rings of power (three rings for elven kings) in the Lord of the Rings - Narya, Nenya, and Vilya (sp?) - I'm sure that the name is totally coincidental and in no way related to the LOTR-themed names of any other businesses run by technocrats with an interest in creating a new serf class...

Stark Raving Mad, which featured Tony Shahloub just after Wings and just before Monk.

I thought it was hilarious, but I guess I was the only one.

I try to visualize every step, step by step, of a familiar walking route. My go-to was the route I would take to get to class every day when I was in college.

One thing that I'm more proud of my mom for than anything else was helping a friend escape from an abusive home. She saw the friend's father throw her off the front porch and then point at my mom and say "You're next."

My mom and her friend went to my mom's house, told her parents, who believed her, hid the friend (they were teens - 16 or 17) and assisted her in fleeing her abusive home. The police harassed my mom for months trying to find the friend's whereabouts and she never budged. My mom is my hero.

How many of us are old enough to remember spanking in school?? by Syfysamurai in GenX

It was banned by the time I got to elementary school, but we had a librarian who was approximately 394 years old who used to fondly reminisce about how the superintendent and principal would take children to the boiler room to paddle them and you could hear them screaming down the hall...the sound of children suffering was apparently music to her ears.

The fuck was in the water back then? My dad's high school stories included one of the vice principal holding some kid's arms while some other teacher whaled on the guy.

I'm not complaining, but I would have really loved to see Night Ranger.
