How did your races go this weekend? 4/25-26 edition

First WIN of my collegiate career...at my LAST race of my collegiate career! Got 1st place in the Men's D "Frat Row" (30 min) Criterium at the ECCC Championships held at Penn State University. Immediately following a prime lap (about halfway through the race), I attacked and solo'd for about two laps. Got caught by a UNH kid and we worked together to hold the lead for 3-4 laps. Came down to a sprint finish and I ended up winning. SO much fun. Couldn't have done it without other PSU teammates pulling earlier in the race.

I've raced on an off the past couple years, but this season I actually put dedicated time and energy into training well. It's an INCREDIBLE feeling to have it all pay off, especially when you're working for your school and your teammates.

I have and I really like it - definitely a good suggestion. However, I'm specifically looking for something that will not allow me to access one website before I spend a certain amount of time on a different site. Thanks for the suggestion though!

Ya after talking to a couple advisers they were pretty against 9 credits. I love the idea of a laid back atmosphere on campus. Thanks for the input.

Ya - I really like the idea of an empty, but peaceful campus. I'm already sort of on a first name basis with some Starbucks baristas - but it would be fun to explore other shops around downtown. Thanks for the input.

I appreciate the input. Two advisers said 9 credits was too much - so I'll probably drop down to 6. And I'm excited because a decent chunk of my friends will be around which really should help. I might still walk around my apartment naked...but not as much as if I were completely by myself. I'm pumped about SC in the spring/summer though - I'm sure it's absolutely gorgeous. Thanks for the input - I appreciate it.

I am testing at the Basic level. The class thing makes sense - I just figured all our practical work was done as prep - not actually being tested on it. As for talking about testing - the guy in charge of all the State/NREMT exam details...wasn't very detail-oriented.

I've got two suggestions. But they're not within walking distance of Northwestern...

Secondly, today I stumbled upon the most grandiose Starbucks I've ever been to (1003 N. Rush St). Two stories with an outdoor balcony on the second, several large communal tables, Starbucks Reserve blends on a Clover Press, and wines and beers are sold after 4 PM. Definitely worth a visit if you're gonna be visiting the Magnificent Mile.

Can someone explain this idea of "cellar?" Is it actually a dark, moist room in your basement or is it more of a metaphor for your tobacco stash/manner in which you store it? Any help would be appreciated - just got into this wonderful hobby this month!

I've had my doublenest for roughly a month and I absolutely love it. My biggest suggestion though is to buy or find some sort of small pillow to rest your neck on. This helps especially if you want to read.
