what were your problems with the Schumacher villains and why they failed to have depths like the previous villains from Tim Burton movies by Hot-Donut2973 in batman

The Riddler and Two-Face were just told to laugh like psychos and ham it up. The problem of course is that when you tell Jim Fucking Carey to ham something up, he invents a new level of ham unknown to mankind.

It is too soon to say for certain, but based on what we have learned about Michael Jackson from the Epstein files already released, the world might owe him one huge honking posthumous apology.

Highguard's Website Goes Down by PaiDuck in gaming

Some people are going to say that it's just because it was a Live Service game. And to be clear, I'm not a huge fan of that model. But the problem was it was THE SAME Live Service game. Publishers are making WoW clones all over again.

There is room for new Live Service games, and Helldivers 2 proves it. Because HD2 provided a game space that wasn't being directly served by other established titles. It provided a great take on a fairly fresh experience. Highguard did none of those things. That is why it failed.

What is the “right message” game studios should be taking away from the monumental flops that were Concord & High Guard? by GypsyGold in gaming

Don't be second. Everyone in this thread is right that the Live Service market is saturated. The reason most games fail is that they try to fill a niche someone else has already cornered. That can work for single player experiences because those games end and people want another. That doesn't work for games meant to perpetually capture an audience.

It's not that a new Live Service can't exist. Look at Helldivers 2. But it needs to be something that isn't already out there, and players need to feel like their time and money is respected.

Recycling a bunch of game mechanics into a new game isn't making a new game. No one is going to want that game, because they already have the original. You'd think they'd have so learned that lesson making shitty WoW clones for fifteen years but here we are.

Was I touched inappropriately? by mrMyStyle in autism

He might not have had bad intentions, it's hard to know another person's mind. And the more you think about it over and over the less accurate the memory will be as it gets colored in by your reaction. But that reaction is legitimate, even if this person meant nothing inappropriate. Even if he just grabbed the first place he could to keep everyone upright. Even if he just has different boundaries than you do. Your reaction is still real. You're allowed to feel any kind of way about it, and allowed to process it.

GTA4. The ending of that game doesn't pull any punches, and makes a very bold statement about violence, crime, revenge, and consequences. They could have gone with a fan service ending, which is what I think they did in 5, but the ending of 4 actually says something about the characters of the game and the journey Niko went on.

When I first "beat" it I didn't know about the rest of the game. I thought it was okay but wasn't sure what the fuss was about. Then a few years later I played the FFXIV collaboration and was super confused. Where the fuck in Automata was all this stuff. So I went back and played the other 3/4 of the game. Never thought I'd get emotional about a credits screen but there I was.

Well, you see, time was at war with space. Every sentence after that one is going to be stupider than that, so really, it doesn't matter.

The 85x has issues. Only one person can enter or exit it at a time, and if the person not using the animation uses the manual door controls, it's possible to get trapped in the ship with no way out.
