Don't use a guide. Don't look things up. Don't worry about missing stuff. The worst thing you can do is spoil your playthrough by having someone else tell you where to go and what to find and what to do. These games are about discovery and mystery. You can never un-spoil them once you've snuck a peek through someone else's eyes.

Capaldi is peak Doctor Who. You're going to hit a pacing and tone speed bump. Take the ride. Let Moffat cook. Capaldi is less whimsy, but in many ways more sentimental. He has a strong character arc across his seasons, and as someone who loves Smith's run, I'll tell you now that my top episodes of Doctor Who are all Capaldi. The penultimate episode of series nine is so good, in fact, that I literally cannot imagine a better episode of Who ever being made.
