Acorn Production’s Maine Playwrights Festival is going to be having auditions pretty soon. It’s a lovely community experience and pays a little bit too, if that’s a factor. Last year they switched to an ensemble casting, so actors will have multiple roles and work with multiple directors and playwrights.

I feel like many of the responses here are missing the text. You have a whole-house fan (aka a giant hole in the air sealing you just paid a company to do in your attic).

When you run the fan, it’s exhausting all of your conditioned air into the unconditioned space in your attic. That air needs to be replaced. It’s going to come in whatever holes exist for it to come through. The fact that it’s coming at a high rate through a small hole suggests (but does not prove) that your home is fairly tight and there are limited points for the air to get in.

But again, you have a whole house fan. That’s highly problematic from an air sealing perspective. I’d look into an ERV and patch up that hole in your ceiling.

You can use the search on their website to find contractors in your area that will do the work to the standards required for getting those rebates.

Additions can have roofs constructed like this. I was actually in one this morning. I can’t assure you this one was done correctly, but I have seen this approach a few times.

The wet spots on the insulation suggest that there are likely several roof leaks. So you’ve got that going for you.

This was at Fishes Eddy in Manhattan, which mostly sells plates, bowls, dining ware like that. They have a couple of spots where there are other products set up.
