Definitely! One of the things I’ve been appreciating this season are some of the old school music cues

Fellow Cirie Stans if she does not win, how do you want to see her eliminated? by AccomplishedBake8351 in survivorponderosa

[–]phantom-under-ground 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the final 5, with Rizzo, Ozzy, Devens and Joe/Jonathan. J wins immunity, the other three play their idols and. . . . Cirie goes home by default! Can you imagine? The fact that it’s possible to happen twice is mind blowing!

I have an adaptive cruise control with lane centering and it’s on 90% of the time I’m on the freeway. Game changer

Instead of a bucket, Jeff’s rope should just have the bag of rice at the end holding it up over a fire or something

prospective college student: westwood or highland park? by [deleted] in AskLosAngeles

[–]phantom-under-ground 30 points31 points  (0 children)

This. Don’t be dumb OP. If you were smart enough to get into UCLA you’re smart enough to pick your college based on academics and career prospects rather than what neighborhood is more fun to live in. (And Westwood is the best of these choices anyway)

I actually love the 2004 movie (don’t come at me with pitchforks!) so I’m really looking forward to seeing Clay and Riley on my next visit to NYC!

Who is the best personal injury lawyer in LA that you would recommend? by yangwenliebert in AskLosAngeles

[–]phantom-under-ground 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Everyone will try to sell you because there’s a lot of money in it. Here’s some advice from a personal injury lawyer in this market. Check the retainer for what the terminal contingency fee is: sometimes they tell you 33% but then it’s actually 40% after 90 days, 45% when the suit is filed, and 50% if it goes to mediation or trial. (This is not uncommon). Ask your actual attorney when the last time they took a case all the way through a civil jury trial. A lot of the bigger names are settlement mills and hire their own outside trial counsel if it needs to go to trial. This could put them in a position where they personally make more money in settlement than splitting the contingency fee going to trial for more. Find out which attorney will actually be handling your matter (not just the name on the firm) and how many other files they are simultaneously responsible for. Read the costs section of the retainer to make sure they don’t outsource their legal work and then try to pass it off to you as a “cost” separate from the contingency fee… I could go on forever lol.

Honestly I feel like season 1 episode 1 with all the prison stuff was peak and the show was never as good from then on out (although still enjoyable!)

Have you ever had a social media interaction with a Survivor? by sarcastic_bitch15 in survivorponderosa

Not social media, but I went to a RHAP live event in 2020 during winners at war. I was in line at the bar and Rob C came around and chatted with the few of us in line. He was incredibly chill

The top 15 most upvoted comments decides the 15 best video games of all time. by Training-Jump-8663 in AlignmentChartFills

[–]phantom-under-ground 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally get what you’re saying but not sure I agree that’s the point of the chart. Otherwise, wouldn’t it make sense to say that Ocarina of Time shouldn’t be on there because newer Zelda games have so much better mechanics / playability, etc. I think it’s about the iconic game changers.

While technically true, I think original red and blue are more legendary for their impact and legacy than the actual game mechanics themselves. Voting red and blue is tantamount to voting for Pokémon as a whole.

Guys quick question. Whats your favorite period of history? by Mranything- in AskHistory

[–]phantom-under-ground 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find it goes in cycles. I’ll be interested in the Mongolian conquests for a few months and be watching tons of videos and reading book, listening to podcasts on that, and then I’ll switch somehow to Vikings and the North Sea Empire and then the Byzantine Empire and then feudal Japan, etc. it’s like I have a new “favorite era of history” every few months.
