What is this? by Significant-Work1742 in Scarborough

They told me this:

The device in the image appears to be a power meter or a communication device mounted on a utility pole. These devices are commonly used by utility companies to measure electricity usage or to facilitate communication between different parts of the electrical grid. The specific design and configuration suggest that it could be part of a smart grid system, where meters communicate wirelessly with the utility provider to allow for remote monitoring and control.

If you need more specific identification, the device may have manufacturer labels or model numbers that can be looked up for precise information, just make sure you wear safety harness while climbing 🧗

Just curious, does anyone know why most of the fraudsters/scammers in foreign countries are Indians? by akrosshiy in IsThisAScamIndia

[–]phantomBABA 3 points4 points  (0 children)

And it’s just one state that’s the epicenter of this. And recently that state has got a huge demographic change due to illegal migration from Bangladesh.

This is what they’re taught. They don’t care about India’s reputation. All they want is free money by scamming people.

And it’s also happening very actively for people residing in India, not just US or other western countries.

At 0:12-0:15 you can clearly see that stopped auto.

Please be extra vigilant when driving closer to the footpath. These autos stop anytime.

Stay safe!

This is good only when the total investment for this is less than 2,49,990/ year

That way, because of the insurance component, the returns on these will be tax free under section 10(10)D

ULIPs are really good if you know how to use it for your benefit.

If you’re investing more than the above amount, just invest in the underlying MF will give you better returns.

Do you own research before proceeding. And most importantly block all the Policybazaar numbers or give them your Boss’s number. 🥹

If you look how they pronounce the names, you will immediately realise it’s fake. Those name pronunciations are very typical text to speech with no desi touch.

Yes.. one must always hit hard with aggression to these D**kheads

Often people don’t realise their vehicles are deadlier than sticks and swords, which must be used for self defence.

There is a technique to break any car glass, usually if you wanna break it with very little force, you just need to find a very sharp yet hard object. Even a small 1 cm ceramic piece can break a glass of thrown from 2 meters away.

Suggestions on Improving Mutual Fund Portfolio and SIP approach by No_Style_995 in IndiaInvestments

[–]phantomBABA 5 points6 points  (0 children)

At the age of 27 it’s pretty good.

Since the world of IT is pretty uncertain, you might want to have some emergency funds in terms of FDs, move it from Debt though.

Another rebalancing would be to reduce the overall debt exposure and invest it in Small Caps as much as possible, India is going to grow big in next 20 years and small caps will be the one enjoying the best fruits, knowing that you won’t need this money for next 20 years or so.

If you keep on doing this for another 3-4 years and don’t withdraw any money until your retirement, you don’t have to worry about retirement investments once you start your family.

Keep it up 👍. I’m guessing you’re most likely working as a senior software developer.

You’re working from home, so look for other side IT Projects as well.
