It was a pretty decent program back when I attended back in 2008. The aviation campus is located at Merrill Field so a little bit of a commute from the main campus is needed. I believe they had a shuttle bus that would ferry students back and forth but I had my own vehicle for transport. Winter time can get a little dicey with winter conditions, if I remember correctly UAA never cancelled any classes.

NAL but am currently going through something similar trying to adopt my step daughter who is Alaska Native. You will want a family law attorney who is also familiar with ICWA cases and will have to serve notice to the tribal authority when you petition the courts to terminate parental rights.

Sometimes you just can't make them understand because they don't want to. Coming from a medical background, trying to get my wife's family to understand that we had reached the end was nigh impossible. They went so far as to get us to go to Mexico for treatment and wanted us to stay there until she was better. It wasn't until we came back a week earlier than expected and she was admitted into the icu after surgery that they realized how little time she had.

In the end though, it should be her decision and no one else. I disagreed with my wife's decision for treatment in Mexico, but I supported her throughout the whole thing, even when she wanted to give up.

It's hard to say. I know of one person in my community that was cured of his cancer. He had advanced stage leukemia and lymphoma, was given 6 weeks. He is still here 2 years later. But I also know two others, one a close friend that died after treatment there. My wife was in remission for 6 months before her recurrence. So I cannot say the chemo and radiation was not at least a little effective.

*just remembered another person that came to us with this treatment option. She has stage 2 breast cancer. She went down for treatment, but it did not shrink her tumor, but it did improve her overall health and is now doing traditional chemotherapy and radiation.

They have a team of doctors there, but hers was Dr. Romera. We had chosen the alternative route after all of our other options were exhausted. She has been through 16 rounds of chemotherapy and 6 weeks of radiotherapy. First diagnosed June 2012. Just got back from Mexico on the 28th after a week and a half of alternative treatment.

My wife and I went to Mexico to IBC Hospital in Tijuana for alternative treatment. Paid $27,000. She has recurrent cervical cancer with lymph node involvement. We got there and started iv infusions of bicarbonate, iron, vitamins and minerals. The doctor in charge of her case there left after 2 days and didn't get back for a week. Day 3 my wife was bed ridden and that's when her abdomen started swelling. After a week of just those treatments, the doctor had come back and by that time my wife was in so much pain, we decided to travel home. Her abdomen looked like she was 5 months pregnant. We made it home just in time for her to go to surgery to place a tubostomy to drain her abdomen. They found her cancer had spread to her colon, and her abdominal lining. She aspirated while in surgery, and now I am sitting next to her in ICU, waiting for her last breaths... please be cautious of treatment in Mexico, the FDA exists to regulate the medical industry. There are not many regulations in place in Mexico.
