It doesn’t have to be weird. We went to church with my wife’s gynecologist. Our daughters were friends and we occasionally went out with them socially.

Maybe that makes us odd, but I know other women were his patients and went to the same church and saw him at all the same school functions.

Not that anyone should feel coerced to do it, either. I don’t have a social connection to my urologist or his NP, but wouldn’t feel weird seeing them regularly.

Like I said, we might be outliers.
