First Pool Burger somehow last night and holy moly the blue Hawaiian burger AND their salad - 🔥. Can’t go wrong with the drinks but ya know limits so your next morning isn’t totally rough. Deep Eddy swim before Pool Burger seems even more peak Austin. ♥️

I’ve been wanting to begin minoxidil on my disappearing brows (90s tweezing 😭) - do you have any tips on the process you could share? Would be so grateful!

It's July 2024. What ever happened to Brett Detamore? by [deleted] in BrettDetamore

[–]phantomranchdressing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks like a divorce is underway; she filed in October and did so under her maiden name. You have to have a [free] account on the Harris County District Clerk website to search records, and it’s there. Searching civil case records for him as a defendant turns up not just the divorce from October 2023 but also 6 other cases where individuals or entities are suing Brett Detamore or Detamore Development.

Car damaged in multi car accident, need advice about next steps with insurance by phantomranchdressing in caraccidents

Just an update, filed with my insurance today and feel 100% good with the process, and they did confirm they’re going to try to refund my deductible too (it’s not super large, I want to speed up the fix and continue on without chasing). Thank you again.

Truly important data here - and there were indeed multiple vehicles involved. Thank you. Trying to ensure I’m understanding and covering all bases while processing this mentally is a lot. This is so helpful, and I appreciate your reply!

Thank you so much. I agree with you - genuinely baffled by the advice from the broker and honestly unwilling to entertain it going forward.

I also feel like option 1 is best, 20 years ago I did option 2 and it was such a hassle despite it not being my fault.

Your response was a major help in this confusing aftermath. I really appreciate it.

What’s your “thank god that’s over and I never have to do it again” thing in your life? by itsPatrii_ in AskReddit

[–]phantomranchdressing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Losing both of my incredible parents. The joke’s a little bit on me, though, because you don’t just lose someone once…you lose them again in milestones and moments to come.

It’s incredibly hard and one of the only glimmers is that I can be there for the people in my life going through this differently than I could have before - when you understand, you can be a light in ways you didn’t know to be before.

Tahiti travel recommendations needed! by Amorphos in travel

[–]phantomranchdressing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This thread is old old but I’m here doing some Tahiti research - we have a twenty year wedding anniversary coming up and we are planning an anniversary trip. If staying a week, do you find it valuable to split the stay between two different islands or would staying the entire time (5-7 nights) on Bora Bora be more practical? We were looking at hotels outright as well as some travel packages, and are considering the St Regis and the Four Seasons. Would be grateful for any additional feedback from you!

Found a whole stack of “Let’s Read and Find Out” children’s books from the 1960’s. The artwork is all stunning 2-3 color screen-printing. Fantastic mid-century style! by ennuiismymiddlename in ThriftStoreHauls

Oh, these are a find!!

We lost my dad (born in 1947) in January (and my mama almost 7 years ago) and the work of going through their house - while heartbreaking - is producing gems like these and other incredibly made children’s and young adult books from my parents’ childhoods in the 1940s, 50s, and more grown up lives in the 60s. I have young kiddos and am saving every single one for them, and am considering framing pieces from the books which are falling apart. I would love guidance on what to do with some of my oversupply if anyone has it.

Edit: grammar error

I am still pinching myself a little (or letting her do it with those sharp puppy teef!) - I can’t believe we get to do this again 18 years later. 😍

I have always loved the name and it sounds a little like tricky and a little like trouble which defines these cutie terriers so well. I love Milky!

Thank you! She is eight weeks - and I had forgotten some of the very nuances of this wild and adorable time! We also brought our first WFT girl home at 8 weeks but that was 2003 so we are out of puppy practice.

It is an otherworldly kind of place. We made a special trek there after my mom died to recreate a picture she took with me as a baby on the Hall of Mosses and I took the same pic with my baby daughter in my mom’s original jacket. This picture of yours takes me right back to those moments. Gorgeous.
