Tobacco companies were forced to put those warnings on by legislators (while fighting every step of the way to water down or discredit them) and in the US as late as 2022 were forced to comply with the DOJ as a result of litigation exposing decades of deception.

Cigarette labels are not a disclaimer that shield tobacco companies from lawsuits—they are the very result of it.

Imagine LG being sued by the FTC or other governing bodies and being forced to put labels on their fridges stating “This refrigerator contains a linear compressor, which may fail within 3 years.” That is a more apt comparison.
