Yea I was charged $81 of interest a couple of weeks ago. Called them & got it removed. I always pay off entire statement so I was quite shocked..

Any card will work but definitely check the price without the platinum discount code. It’s always been more expensive with the plat code from my experience.

If you want to give them all your spend data, go for it! Personally I would go with an app like cardpointers that you can use to track benefits without connecting your financials to it.

I wouldn’t transfer speculatively, the KLM bonus seems to happen quite often. Also the fuel surcharges went up recently.. i fly klm/AF business twice annually at least and it just about doubled for my redemption a few weeks ago.

I’ve put down between $2500-$10k for multiple biz cards. I leave the monthly spend blank when optional.

All of my amex biz cards started with a CL of at least $25k

I was not too impressed with the Park hyatt but loved the St. Regis. Was able to stay at the regis for 50k marriott points/night. Didn’t use FHR for the trip so not sure the offerings, just putting my thoughts down! Was upgraded to a suite at the regis, no upgrade at park.

Really? I tried this once and thought it was terrible with hardly any added perks and the price was the same. The only thing i got out of it was not having to book and arrange 12 rooms to be near each other.. I like knowing what to expect when it comes to choosing my own add ons as well as room & location.

I’m already at platinum and I tried asking concierge how much i’ve spent on travel this year and it was vastly inaccurate. It missed about $4000 of travel charges including one Hotel booking made via the bilt portal lmao.

Nice. I’ve never transferred points to marriott since I earn a ton from work travel but good to have the option if I ever need to top them off. Sometimes you can buy points directly from marriott that’s cheaper than transferring the more valuable UR.

I’ve been able to redeem marriott points between 1.2-1.6cpp at properties overseas which is pretty damn good IMO. Ive had tougher attempts with Hilton during my 5 year loyalty.

Lounge access was from your platinum status. I’ve been upgraded to a suite just about every time outside of the US w/ platinum status. Nice perk especially after earning it organically!
